Is this too early to discuss?

9-cat roto...

Top 3 picks are pretty even depending on category preference...

1a. Lebron (Pts, assists, FG%)
1b. Durant (Pts, 3's, FT%)
1c. Paul (Assists, steals, Low TO's)

4. Love
5. Wade
6. Jefferson
7. Aldridge
8. Bynum
9. Dirk
10. Gasol
11. Josh Smith
12. Westbrook

Other's to consider: Paul Millsap, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose, Stephen Curry, Kobe

I've intentionally left out Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, and Blake Griffin for what I hope would be obvious reason....

2012 NBA Season Awards

Pop wins Coach of the Year.....Well earned. Thibs was very worthy as well....

Gregg Popovich has been named the NBA's Coach of the Year for the 2011-12 season.
Despite having one of the oldest rosters in the league, Popovich deftly guided the Spurs to a 50-16 record and the West's No. 1 seed. He also won the award in 2002-03, when the Spurs went on to win their second of four NBA titles under Pop. Bulls boss Tom Thibodeau was second in the voting and Frank Vogel of the Pacers came in third.

2012 Western Conference Playoff Thread

OKC/Dallas series kicks it off. Rematch of last year's Western conference final. With Harden coming back and giving the Champions their due, I said earlier that I wouldn't be shocked if this was a really tough series. I still think the Thunder will prevail but thus far with the game slowing down and the refs allowing a lot more clutching and hand checking, the champs are leading this game late in the first half. This should be a interesting series....

2012 Eastern Conference Playoff Thread

Bulls killing the Sixers, nothing to see here and then Rose hurts his knee. Went down like a ton of bricks, was able to walk off with help but because it was a non-contact injury, he'll go for a MRI and you could see it being some sort of ligament damage....

Derek Fisher Vs. Billy Hunter

Hunter's a slime ball and has been preying on the idiocy of the NBAPA for awhile now.....It's starting to come to light about this guy and his shady dealings. If you read the article, Fisher's a coward as well but once Hunter tried to kick him off the counsel, he decided to fight for his position rather than the right thing years ago.....

In 2008-09, NBPA executive director reportedly Billy Hunter pushed hard for the union to invest at least $7 million in a failing bank on which his son sat on the board of directors.
That proposal eventually collapsed due to the U.S. banking crisis, but Hunter is still being accused of nepotism, as the union has also done $2.5 million in business with a consulting firm of which his son, Todd Hunter, is a vice president. The union also did business with a law firm employing Hunter's daughter, and another daughter and daughter-in-law have high-paying jobs within the NBPA. This might have been the reason Derek Fisher demanded another independent audit, but Hunter insists that there has been no illegal activity -- nepotism is unsavory but not explicitly outlawed by the NBPA charter. Hopefully this ugly in-fighting won't distract from the playoffs.

Are The Knicks Tanking?

You dont lose to Cleveland right now. It has been discussed about nyk preference to play Chicago over Miami in the first round. They have a pretty good excuse in amare coming back should they lose their final games as an adjustment period. Never been a fan of tanking period but I think most nba fans would agree you would want to see your team face a bulls team with an injured(?) star over a the big 3 regardless of record over the past couple weeks.

Not a big deal, it just kinda insulting from a pure fan perspective to be purposely misled by teams and players at the end of the year.
