During the 2013 NFL off season, free agent QB Brian Brohm should be afforded an opportunity to compete for starting and backup QB positions.  2013 should be the year for the NFL to give Brohm a comeback shot at his dream.  A strong case can be made for Brohm to replace several QB's whose teams finished the season with below .500 records, QB's that appear to be at the end of their career's, and/or QB’s that do not give their respective team a chance to win.  Arguably, QB's with targets on their backs should be:  Sanchez,  Weeden,  Quinn,  Henne,  Cassel, Gabbert, Palmer, Foles, Fitzpatrick, Vick,  Locker,  Hasselback,   Tannehill, Freeman,  Jason Campbell, Grossman, Matt Moore, Tarvaris Jackson, Tebow, Orton, Batch,  Leftwich, Flynn, Webb, Harrell, Daniel, Leinart, McCown, Painter, Simms, Thigpin, and McEroy.   Understandably, the NFL is a business and its business is about winning.   In collegiate football, Brohm proved himself as a winner.  Unlike many of the QB’s above, Brohm’s winning potential as a NFL QB has not been thoroughly explored--with his experience in the UFL, his potential has only improved.   Again, 2013 should be Brohm’s comeback year…   Will the NFL give Brian Brohm a comeback shot at his dream?

I'd also like to see Ray Finkle regain his Kicker eligibility.

Chris Simms deserves a comeback opportunity before Brian Brohm
Do you really care who is on my team? I have Mike Trout and Arian Foster in keeper leagues in their respective sports.

If it came down to Brohm or Simms' ruptured spleen for a final roster spot, who gets the nod?

Simms' ruptured spleen has more upside. Not even close

Heck, why not? He's got solid career numbers in the league

51.9 completion %
4.85 yards per attempt
0 TDs
5 picks

Maybe he can compete with Ryan Lindey for the #3 QB spot on the Cardinals

Since leaving Green Bay, he's just really been unfortunate to be stuck behind future HOFers such as Trent Edwards and Fitzpatrick. He did take Buffalo's scout team by storm in 2009 after being plucked off Green Bays practice squad, making Gibran Hamdan expendable. Then Buffalo went crazy in 2011, bringing in FAs Brad Smith and Tyler Thigpen. Who can compete with that? On to the Las Vegas Locomotives, which is clearly Chase Clement's team, so he had no chance there. I agree that Cadillac Brohm needs a shot. He is a luxury automobile that needs to be driven. He just needs a team to commit to him as "The Man" and build around him.
