I really think this kid is going to rock as a rookie. I'm sure the TOs will be high, and the %s low, but make no mistake, this kid can ball and is the most promising #1 pick since Dwight Howard. He is going to be dropping dimes in bunches all year long, and can score as well. People, we could be looking at the next Chris Paul.

Rose is not even the best player in his draft class let alone the most promising #1 since whenever.

This year , Rose will be a good real life player but not a really good fantasy player
Hmm I can see him putting a line of 15 ppg 47 fg% 5 apg 0.7 spg . That's a Tony Parker / Andre Miller line.

He'll be fun to watch though if you catch a Bulls game...

I think your prediction is about right - except the steals. A guy with his speed and quickness will probably average about 1.4-1.7 steals.

If he could repeat durant numbers last year with assists instead of rebounds it would be pretty good.

yep.. actually i'd be happy with those numbers.

i'd say closer to 13 ppg....

i don't know what to make of his stls...he averaged about 1.3 in college, but got just 2 all preseason...

He isn't that kind of scoring threat. I don't see him averaging more then 15 PPG this year.

I am extremely excited to see him and Sefolosha in the starting backcourt today. Unfortunately, that doesn't go well for the Bulls chances. I was one of the few idiots who believe Hinrich had a rebound season in him, along with the rest of the Bulls team.

what? this makes no sense. They are 2 different players playing 2 different positions. Rose wont get the threes, blocks, points, reb, ft% like durant. I see 13.3/3.6reb/5.2assists/2.8TO/1.1stls/45.5%/73% or so.

You guys are way off:
23 ppg, 3 rpg, 9 apg, 45%fg, 75%ft, 35% 3pt, 2 spg, 3 topg

ROY and MVP as leads Bulls over the Lakers in the finals. Mark it.

That's nowhere near accurate, but I am high on him and grabbed him in the ninth round of my draft. He has been blowing up in the preseason and is the starter. He reminds me of Paul from a few years ago, but a better scorer/weaker defender. I think he has the most rookie upside by far. Rather him then "I only get Points and Boards" Beasley.

I think it's a little early to say who is better. I mean, they haven't even played 10 preseeason games let alone a real game.

Keep in mind, the Heat were the ones who seriously considered trading out of that spot since they were not on Beasley.

Beasley = Derrick Coleman's skill set in Glen Robinson's body

Derrick Rose = Steve Francis' athelticism & skills + Jason Kidd's brains

Fantasy wise and reality wise Rose will be the valuable player by far 5 years from now. I'm not even a fan of either guy, but Rose's skillset is much more valuable to a team and fantasy owner.
