You guys do realize in that "great" season he was averaging 10.6 points and 7.2 rebounds right? His blocks were at 1.7 so that was nice but I'd say tonight was more of an exception than the norm.

i don't know, i got him at about pick 156 and i think it was a great grab. he played great at the end of last season and i see no reason why he can't have a good season this year.

I'm not saying he isn't a great value pick. I'm just saying you should use this 19 board game as a way to sell high...

Very good sign last night that Jamison was back, kicked butt and Haywood was still good. Lets see if he can keep this up

All I want from Haywood going forward is blocks, rebounds, and a solid FG%. I'm sure I'll get that, and I'm more than happy spending a late round pick on him.

i don't like that he played just 30 minutes. That's the 2nd lowest minutes he had all year if you don't count the game he fouled it. With Jamison back, it looks like he may lose close to 5 minutes per game.

with jamison back, a slight decrease in production is guaranteed, but considering where he was drafted by most teams, he'll still far exceed his expected value. the most positive thing to take from that game is that blatche only got 17 min with mcgee and oberto both getting 0.

yeah but you can look at it the other way. That it is very unusual that blatche only had 17 and mcgee and oberto didnt even play. So with all that and Haywood still only had 30 minutes, that may show us that 30 is on the very high end of how many minutes he will be getting this year per game.

^ sorry didn't know he was hurt.

all i'm saying is i don't think haywood's value will drop off so much that he'll become waiver fodder. i drafted him in the 10th round of an 11 round draft. in a 16 team league though, the pool is shallow. i usually expect my last 2 picks to be droppable. good posts, i like the analysis.

Wait....are we talking about Fabricio Oberto? Why in the world do you expect he'll get 5-10 mins every game?

With Okur, Murphy and Dampier as my other centers I need Haywood to just average a double double with a great FG% for at least the next month.
