Couldn't find a thread so started a new one.

I was expecting big things from him and he has been a complete dissapointment and downright awful. Anyone have insight on what's going on this year?

anybody thinking about dropping Young? Anthony Morrow is on the waiver wire and I can't decide if I should drop Young or Ford.

The Young owner in my league dropped him a few days ago and no one has picked him. He's been pretty bad.

I call him the anti-stat stuffer he just doesn't do much. With Andre Miller gone now he isn't getting set up with a lot of easy looks like he was last year. That isn't the whole story with him and he will improve somewhat, but his stat lines will be kind of boring, 13-15 pts, 1+ stl, 5 boards, but that is about it, his 3's will be between 0.5 or so but he doesn't pass, his FT's leave a lot to be desired, and his FG's are appearing to be somewhat of an anomoly and he doesn't get many blocks. Not a guy I would really want on my team other than as a bench flier.

I traded Frye to get him just last week, thinking neither of them can keep up their ridiculous (for different reasons) performances this year. Well, Frye is actually dropping very quickly in the player rater- went from 15 to 30 in just one week and I'm guessing he'll end around 60ish- but he's still playing pretty well. Young has given my bench two alright games and two horrible ones and is at like 150. Making me look bad, Thaddeus!

Young commented that he's been struggling in the new offense...hopefully he'll figure it out soon enough...in the mean time some more steals would be nice

23 points on 10/19 shooting, with 2 threes. Not much else (4 boards, an assist and a steal), but it's a start.

Think he'll play the four or will they leave Jason Smith there? I'm betting Young has a good game, but the stats will align with him playing SF (i.e. pts, 3s, less boards than last year).

And I picked up Smith for the spot start...

young has really turned it on the last nine games.

He's useful for FG%, points, some treys, and steals.

Has anyone watched him play much? I thought he was a 6'8 with good speed and jumps. How come he only has 2 blocks for the season and grabs so little rebounds?

He's skinny and simply not physical defensively.

Bad shooting night last night not withstanding, how do you guys think the return of Lou Williams and Maurice Speights is going to effect Thad?

I don't think it will effect him too much.

Seems like he's clearly the #2 option on the team by the way he shoots. I see plenty of games he get 8 shots up in the first quarter.

He won't be breaking 40 mins every other game when they come back that is for sure. But in the meantime I think Thadd will kill it. In his 4 games in December he is averaging 17 points, 6 rebs, 2 assists, 1.8 stls, and 0.8 3's.

11-15, 23 Pts, 5 Rebs, 2 Assists, 1 Steal, 1 Block, and 0 TOs at the half. I enjoy that very much so on a Monday. Now all he needs is a 3 or two in the second half and this week will look very promising.

Well he got that three to finish with 26 points. 2 more steals, 2 more assists and 9 (!!) more rebounds. Monster game, good to see.
