I don't see how he can come back better, he had a chance at playing in the major leagues this year but this seems to have killed those chances. I am more worried about having him on my fantasy team and having the risk of him getting suspended again...and again.  That would be 2 failed tests already before hitting the major leagues.  Does the major leagues test for marjuana or is that not banned in the major leagues?

No, it doesn't test for weed.  If it did some teams would have to forfeit games.

Moreover a player's slate is cleaned when its a non-PED substance once they're called up, so that shouldn't be an issue for Singleton.

Exhibit A - Jeremy Jeffress, KC - 50 games for marijuana in 2007.

I just found out the most recent policy update - www.rivalus.net/bannedsubstancelists/MLB-JointDrugAgreement.pdf (copy/paste into your browser to get pdf).

Section 7 - there is still no testing, nor penalties for drugs of abuse at the MLB level - unless you are convicted of possession, or trafficking.

So, next offence in MILB gets Singleton 100 game ban at MILB level, after that lifetime ban.

Ironically, though, once promoted to MLB - slate wiped clean.
