It will hurt his ERA I'm sure but should be good for the W's

If I had to make a prediction I would have to say look for a line around: 4.30 ERA, 14 W, 145 K, 1.45 WHIP

i figured his era would be in the 4's. but you think his WHIP might be that high too? i guess the W's and K's make up for it....

McCarthy is a flyball pitcher. I'm almost willing to bet he'll be closer to a 5.00 ERA . That ballpark is going to hurt him big time.

I have never bought into the hype on McCarthy.  I think he a 4th starter and thats about it.  I mean 4th starter in the majors not fantasy.  Fantasy wise if he is on my team consider me pissed.

McCarthy is making me look good. He has given up a homerun already in todays game and its only the second inning. Way to go Mac

I'd take Pelfrey over McCarthy every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

ZIPS was the most accurate projection system for pitchers last season. Here is his projection for next season;
7-8, 143 IP, 118 K, 4.78 ERA, 1.28 WHIP

Max Murder you are the most biased Mets fan I have seen in a while.

Also EVERYONEEEE was on the McCarthay bandwagon before his bad spring.

He's no ace, but throwing up 5 ERA and 1.50 whip is heavy duty.

He is a 6-7 silky smooth pitcher who will come in to his own. Bad park for him is very true.

He may be a smooth as silk but hes a fly ball pitcher and is going to get crushed. This is the next level. He isn't facing minor leaguers anymore.
