Yeah, terrible trade for LAD. It doesn't help his fantasy value for him to go to SEA and he really needs to cut the K rate down. I'm slightly souring on him now
Can you name the last hitter the Dodgers developed that was not overhyped not named Matt Kemp? Seems like there has been a ton

Fair point, but I don't see why that would have any impact on whether or not Robinson could have developed into a legit player there. Sure, his numbers were likely slightly inflated due to the PCL and his K rate was high, but they're throwing out Tony Gwynn Jr and Juan Rivera out there in left on a daily basis. They might as well have given the kid a shot to see what he could do.

Ned said he didnt think highly of robinson and though sands was a better prospect....he said outfielders are easy to get....thats why the dodgers are starting juan rivera and tony gwyn jr....didnt think robinson was a good prospect huh ned? like you didnt think highly of edwin jackson, carlos santana, james mcdonald, or xavier paul who are all helping teams right now who are playing for playoff spots...not to mention russell martin who is a cough cough catcher and is the starting catcher for the yankees...but dont worry you saved us 1 million and gave us bajaras and navarro anyway....so lets see maybe if you didnt trade carlos santana, let go of russell martin or heck even give away lucas may we wouldnt need to give up a top 5 prospect for another young version of AJ ellis...its hard to be a dodger fan.

Its an awful trade, because the 3 guys they got are all organizational filler.
- The catcher is the type of strong D/weak bat C you can find all off-season for 3-4 mil.
- The 24 y/o AA pitcher is repeating AA and still has weak ratios. The only scouting report I could find didn't find his stuff all that dominating, that he was mostly a control specialist. A 1.40 WHIP for a 24 y/o 'control specialist' at AA. Yeah... At best, he's a swingman/5th starter type. More likely, he never amounts to anything. Not even sure why they wanted him.
- The young Low-A pitcher has decent stuff, with very little control. A big project. Most teams have a few of these types. Worth drafting late and trying to work with, but middling trade value. Low success rate.
They traded a AAA outfielder who has decent power, decent speed and a decent walk rate before giving him a shot at MLB. When they just so happen to badly need a player in the very spot he plays. All so that they could get 3 guys they don't really need.

To be called up tomorrow. He wasn't good enough to come up for the left field challenged Dodgers, but the Mariners will give him a chance.

Any Mariners fans have any insight as to how much playing time he'll get? They seem to love playing Gutierrez mostly because of his defense, but he's been atrocious with the bat this season.

Mariners are more challenged than anyone in LF, CF, RF, 3B, DH. We have the worst production from those 5 spots than any other team in major league baseball. Yes, that includes Ichiro and his putrid .626 OPS for a corner outfielder.
As for his PT, tough to say. They can put Mike Carp at DH and Robinson in LF. Ideally I'd like to see them call up Pena and put him at DH. Go Pena DH, Carp - LF, Robinson - CF, Ichiro - RF. Then have Gutierrez play maybe 1-2 times a week. But they still owe Gutierrez a lot of money the next 2 seasons so they may be stuck with giving him at bats to figure things out.

Robinson in LF everyday, and Carp and Pena platoon at DH

And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

Shipped off to Baltimore today. Does this change the opinion of him? He still has a solid power/speed combo and the Orioles would have a hole in the outfield next to Jones if McLouth leaves. They would have to fill it with some combo of Reimold/Hoes/Robinson likely if McLouth does leave.

Right now with Markakis and jones being starters others being Robinson ,Reimold , Hoes , Avery you have too assume the orioles will try too bring Mclouth back to strenghten there depth. either way i figure Robinson could walk into 300 AB play solid defense with 10+ Hr 10+ sb .better gamble for ORIOLES than Lew Ford etc. Though as an Oriole fan i am going too miss Andino but looks like a potential promising move landing Travyon
