*shrug* his name or something, haha. Starting him again this week. Done well for me 4/5 weeks, and I like his chances for consistency better if Henne's in and not Gabbert (weird to say but hey, it is what it is).

I still see him as boom or bust.  He's been boom lately, but take away that one catch last week and he was a bust.  He's been doing a lot with just a few receptions each game.
PPR league.   6-pt for TD.  5-pt bonus for 100 yards receiving/rushing.  2-pt bonus for 40 yd rush/reception, with an extra 2 if it's a TD.

QB: Drew Brees
WR:  Larry Fitzgerald,Torrey Smith, Titus Young
RB: Alfred Morris, Steven Jackson
TE: Vernon Davis
Flex:  Marcel Reece
K: Mason Crosby
D/ST: Houston

Bench:
WR: Cecil Shorts, Sidney Rice, Denario Alexander, Pierre Garcon
RB:  Fred Jackson, Daryl Richardson, Vick Ballard

He gets a lot of targets and it looks like the Jags are gonna air it out

Does his value go up with Gabbert going on IR?

I think it does.. don't like that Blackmon had twice as many targets last week.
14 Team PPR (50 ret yds = 1pt, All TD's = 6pts)
(8-5) Knocked out in semis. How did this team not win it all in a 14 teamer?!
QB: P. Manning, B. Roethlisberger
RB: D. Martin, K. Moreno, R. Mathews, D. Wilson, J. Rodgers
WR: V. Cruz, G. Jennings, D. Alexander
TE: A. Hernandez, J. Graham

Blackmon's value goes up the most. Cecil's, IMO, stays the same or goes down slightly.
ESPN 12 Team Standard League
QB: Tom Brady (Tony Romo)
RB1: Arian Foster (Ben Tate, Justin Forsett)
RB2: Doug Martin
WR1: Demaryious Thomas (Larry Fizgerald)
WR2: Cecil Shorts (Ryan Broyles)
Flex: Jamaal Charles
TE: Heath Miller (Kyle Rudolph)
D/ST: Streaming
K: Justin Tucker

I had Shorts and ended up essentially dropping him for Danario Alexander. I figured I'd rather take a chance on Danario's balky knees than having Blaine Gabbert throwing passes to any of my WR. Now it looks like it would have been best to find a way to carry both of them!

I ended up getting Blackmon off waivers this week...and while I think I'd still rather have Shorts than Blackmon Henne seemed to really lock onto Blackmon, he had 13 targets (only 3 WR had more targets) to Shorts' 6 so that's definitely something to consider.

Yeah, I think Shorts is going to be more consistent (which is weird since he makes his living on big plays), but Blackmon has much higher upside.

I'm gonna follow the targets with Henne running the show.. the Henne/Blackmon combo looked GREAT.

With Laurent Robinson out for the year, I see Shorts having Victor Cruz value now.

Shorts gets a slight bump as teams now have to account for someone actually being able to get Blackmon the ball. Can't go wrong owning either guy at this point.

I totally get this logic...and sometimes this reasoning proves true. I viewed Shorts as kind of like a poor man's Dwayne Bowe before Week 11: terrible QB situation, losing team, no other viable receiver threats, garbage time hero.

Now the landscape is different with Henne in there. Not that he's necessarily the savior at QB but simply because his tendencies and rapport have yet to be known. Based on the small sample size (twice as many targets for Blackmon) it looks like so far that Henne prefers Blackmon. And really targets are what is most important when all is said and done. If Henne really does prefer Blackmon over Shorts and defenses don't game plan to stop Blackmon it could turn into a situation where you need a long score from Shorts to have a better PPR day than Blackmon.

I think this situation is more of a coin flip than people realize and that Blackmon's floor might really not be that low at all going forward. Time will tell.

I didn't watch the last game but from what I understand Jonathan Joseph shadowed Cecil in the game which could explain Henne's increased looks to blackmon.  JJ (if I recall reading in a matchup breakdown somewhere) was the most effective statistically at shutting his guy down this season.

Cecil has made a believer out of me and I will be starting him every week here on out.  He is a play maker.

i think we'll see those targets even out, when henne came into the game two weeks ago shorts picked it up on that thursday night game....last week i think the targets were a product of blackmon being open, guess we'll see this week....either way if cecil sticks with his usual 3 for 80 and a TD not sure i care how many targets he gets... but of course more is better

Well, sorry folks...i bring doom to every pickup that is on a streak. Hes had 6-7 weeks of double digits production? Well believe me, i picked him up and have him in my lineup so the buck will stop here.
Is it football season yet?!
