Hey as in the thread topic.... Here are the 8 guys I'm considering keeping. It's essentially dynasty format where you can keep guys for ever with no penalties. 12 team roto: stats are R,HR,RBI,SB,AVG,OPS W, SV, K,ERA,WHIP,QS... we play with 4 OF an 1 Util but no MI or CI spots.
My potential choices are:
- Kemp
- Strasbourg
- Harper
- Heyward
- Goldschmidt
- Castro
- Moore
- Darvish
Really having a tough time figuring our who to drop.

Locks to stay - Strasburg, Harper, Heyward, Moore
All have huge potentials that can't be dropped. Strasburg and Moore both have the stuff to be top 5 pitchers, while Harper and Heyward both have 30-30 potential.
Should hold onto - Kemp, Darvish
Kemp also has huge potential and that Dodgers lineup is going to be good. Should have a solid bounce back year. Darvish has his struggles and control problems, but he still has huge K potential and should develop consistency.
Left - Goldschmidt, Castro
This is your real question. Both are even and have solid potential. Both are extremely close and it can go either way. I would lean toward Goldschmidt because his manager trusts him. I'm not huge on Castro because eventually those mental errors could catch up with him and he could see decreased playing time.

I think that Darvish is the one to drop. You already have exceptional pitching with Strasburg and Moore. The potential of Goldy and Castro is to enticing to pass on.

Hey guys thanks for your replies. I think you've helped frame this for me a bit. Originally I was thinking that Kemp, Harper, Stras, Heyward were no doubters. I think you guys are probably right that I should include Moore on that list.
My brain is telling me to keep Castro and Goldy cus I find it a lot harder to find elite (by elite I mean keeper level in my league) hitting as draft wears on than elite pitching. But I also have a huge man crush on Yu... love watching his games... never seen anyone with his crazy arsenal... it will be tough to watch his highlights coming from another team....It's gonna be tough deciding who to drop out of those three. Might have to wait and see who has a better chance of returning to me in the first round next year.

Love Darvish but he's the guy you have to let go. Too bad you couldn't have made a trade to solve this problem. Still it's a good problem to have.

Our trade deadline was early enough that he didn't have a tone of value at the time. But I tend to agree that he's probably the guy I should drop and probably the guy I have the best chance of getting again in the draft.
