I just received the worst trade offer in my 7 years of playing fantasy basketball.  Before I share the offer I received, I was wondering about some absolute crap offers you guys have gotten in your leagues.

I'll see your terrible offers and raise you a DeMarcus Cousins, Brandon Knight, and Roy Hibbert for my Paul Pierce, Al Horford, and Kawhi Leonard.

Yes, he wants me to give up the three best players in the deal.

Instead of being insulted by a trade offer, I suggest that you counter a more reasonable trade offer and who knows, you may get a deal done.  Don't trade offers personal but rather a starting point where you may be able to land a guy that you really want.

When I get a reasonable trade offer, I will make counteroffers.

When I get something totally out of wack, it tells me that the manager has no clue of how to evaluate players and their statistical contributions in the context of rotisserie, and it's not worth my effort to make offers.

By the way, that is not a terrible offer depending on team needs.  It is a good starting point.

Hibbert is off to a crappy start and he is still avg 3 blocks a game.  Horford is strugling and Pierce is 90 years old and Leonard will be up and down the entire year.

Based on current production (Yahoo!): Pierce #18, Leonard #50, Horford #91, Hibbert #101, Cousins #114, Knight #242.
Based on projections for rest of season (BM): Horford #18, Pierce, #25, Leonard #32, Hibbert #61, Cousins #69, Knight #163.

I mean, pretty much every trade can be "not terrible" depending on team needs.  If I'm tanking everything except for turnovers and blocks, Kevin Durant for Bismack Biyombo isn't "terrible".  But I don't know how anyone can defend a trade in which one team receives all of the best players in the trade (with differences not even close).  I'm going to call you out: are you actually the manager that proposed this trade to me?

like every time this thread comes up in any forum, the offers arent as bad as you think they are. You are just on your player's jock.

trades depend on team's needs... sometimes owners over value their players because they love them so much, not really realizing that it is the stats that count and not the "name" of the player...

You're tripping. Kawhi Leonard is a better player than Cousins? Sigh..

I have the winner.  There's a guy in my League who's notorious for throwing out terrible trade offers but explaining why they are beneficial to you.

Taj Gibson for Dirk Nowitzki.  Because you don't know when Dirk's returning and you need blocks.

Ill await your futile responses to this epic trade request.

It sounds like you really need the blocks.

I'm the annoying guy always offering horrible trade offers, just for the heck of it and for the lolz. I also never officially reject a trade. The trades just sit there, because if my player that is part of the trade gets injured sometime later in the season, I run to to accept the trade. That said, it never happens lol

That's not a bad trade at all. Kawhi is the worst player all of the players. Cousins > Pierce   Hibbert and Horford are close and Knight is better but less consistent than Kawhi

I think you're basing all of this on the first 2 weeks of the season. Not what is going to happen and players' track records

you can either take a horrible trade offer personally or as a possible start to a good trade...i prefer the latter. now you know who the guy is interested in..make a countrr and go from there... i say more trade offers the better! good or bad!
