He's going to end the season as the #1 Fantasy catcher. He just looks so much more comfortable at the plate this season.

Sitting out today, I get the need for days off here and there but leaving his bat out of the DH spot to keep the hot swinging Jason Giambi (dripping with sarcasm) in the lineup makes no sense. Then again neither does batting Giambi ahead of him when they both play.

Seriously. If the Indians weren't swinging a hot bat, despite Francona's incompetence, I would be pushing for him to be fired. Maybe he think Santana's problems last year were mental (as in his inability to hit in a big RBI spot?). Whatever it is I'd like an explanation. It would be nice if one of the Indians beat writers asked why their best hitter is hitting 6th in the lineup.

Yeah gotta believe the team would be scoring even more if he was hitting 3,4 or 5. Hes got 7 HR and 15 RBI. not the ratio youd like to see.

I mean, if you're gonna give him an off day, do it on a slate of full games so I can keep a lineup full.  WTF mate?

This is a horrible week for full lineups with all the 5 game weeks.

On the bright side, the Indians play a doubleheader on Monday if that helps any.

Francona will sit him one of those games and bat him 8th the other.

I got him in the 7th (#73) while yelling at myself "don't pay for catcher, don't pay for catcher, don't pay for catcher."  I wanted to wait, but it all happened so fast.  I'm pleased.

I got him in the 5th Round. And couldn't be happier. I was laughed at for that but I just couldn't risk losing out on this guy. I've watched him play for a long time and just knew that eventually he could get it together and be the best hitter in baseball. He won't be that this year, but I think he's worth the pick.
