His name begins with a T.  This year's T-bow?

I think there's a chance you see Pryor start to take snaps as their hopeless season dwindles down, but I don't think you'd get anything fantasy-worthy out of him.

Remember, the Raiders have the Packers' old front office buff Reggie McKenzie running the show now.  History would suggest he's going to let Pryor sit tight (ala Rodgers) and develop in time.  Plus, there's no sense in ruining a young guys confidence when the team is as putrid as the Raiders are.

I like the sound of that Bateman. The guy did look pretty good in the pre-season.

People need to remember he's only 23 also.  The guy obviously forfeited his senior year of college ball because of the off the field stuff.  This would technically be his rookie year if he didn't screw up.

Sure, it makes a lot of sense for the Raiders to give both Pryor and Leinhart snaps.  Their season is down the toilet, there is absolutely nothing left to play for and if the Broncos clinch next week, there are no games left on their schedule where they can knock another team out of the playoffs.

So the Raiders are now playing in the 2013 preseason.  By replacing Palmer who's owed $35 million going forward, the Raiders stand to gain back a substantial amount of cap space.  Considering most of Raider Nation is under suicide watch, the organization needs to do something to find signs of hope.  I would not be surprised if Palmer gets shut down and McFadden never gets back on the field even if declared healthy.

What's he going to get?  The last couple of games maybe?  Maybe 3?  Is someone going to start a guy with no NFL snaps in the playoffs without seeing him?

He has about the same amount of upside as Ramses Barden if you ask me.

Barden worked out nicely for a one-week play.  I wonder if Pryor could be a serviceable stand-in for desperate Matt Ryan owners in leagues that play the full NFL season.

When your FA pool options are Jake Locker, Chad Henne, McCoy/Weeden, Quinn/Cassel, the ARI QB's, Ryan Fitzpatrick (now without his red zone TE Scott Chandler), Sam Bradford, Christian Ponder, and Mark Sanchez, I could see giving Pryor a shot if he's actually named the starter for this week with Palmer out.  Looking for basically Joe Webb upside for a single-week play.

Not sure what they have to lose by playing Pryor. Leinart or Palmer shouldn't have a future with the team unless they just want to go with Leinart as a cheap veteran option next year. They should just use Pryor week 17 and see how things turn out.

They've been supposed to have been working Pryor in more anyways the last few weeks and they've really made little effort to do so. That might be the case for a reason.....
Do you really care who is on my team? I have Mike Trout and Arian Foster in keeper leagues in their respective sports.

Named the starter!

Fun times.  Let's see how bad he is.

Even in college his throwing was questionable.

I don't know, I'm tempted to start him against SD if Matt Ryan sits / will only play a half game.

Pryor might go all out to prove himself this week.  Might be his only chance.

Sometimes running QBs can have early success until the book gets out on them.....SD is not playing for much and has a lame duck staff.  Pryor could rush for 60 yards and score a TD.  I do think he's a poor thrower....

Regardless, I'm playing SD defense.  I pray for lots of rookie mistakes.
