This guy will be a sneaky pickup ROY... he was moved to WR last game due to the loss of Titus and Broyles and I expect him to stay there the rest of the year... not to mention Stafford has a lot of confidence in him.

Any chance he gets WR eligibility at any time?  How does that work?

Position eligibility doesn't usually change in football.  More valuable as a TE anyway.

^ Right, I know its different from baseball for example, where a certain number of starts at a pos will get that player eligibility.  I don't often see changes in FFB so I'm curious

I'm really intrigued by this guy, see a lot of upside if the Lions continue to use him as the slot. He sees snaps and possibly a decent amount of targets in a pass happy team... I think a lot of people want to wait a week to see how he does, but by then it might be too late.

Didn't he suffer a possible concussion last week? What happened with that?

He was cleared and returned for the second half.

I don't see how Stafford keeps up his 350+ yards per game without SOMEONE other than Megatron getting a good amount of those. Brandon "5 yards per reception" Pettigrew ain't going to cut it.

Calling all mediocre TE owners.

Detroit has this guy lining up as a WR. Three targets and a TD so far in the beginning of the second quarter.

Might plug him in. Detroit throws a lot, and if Petti is out, this dude might see a lot of targets... has seen a lot the past 3 weeks...
Anyone else thinking about starting this guy?

I am as of now...he's pretty much lining up as a WR, so he should continue to get targets.  Need all the points I can get this week to make it to the Superbowl...hoping he's a sneaky play at TE.

Wish I knew more about him / DET.  Assuming Pettigrew is out (which is why we would consider him), would Will Heller be an issue?

He's been playing in the slot with all their WR shortages. If pettigrew is out that shouldn't change but he could be targeted more. He had like 9 targets last game. I'm starting him over Rudolph

If Petti is out, it's him over Rudolph. I figure if we all made it this far, without Graham, Witten or Hernandez at TE, why not? We've gotten 0's and we're still here... Come on Scheff!

Guys, keep the AC conversation confined to the forum designed for it. Thanks.
"I think that life would suddenly seem wonderful to us if we were threatened to die. Just think of how many projects, travels, love affairs, studies, it--our life--hides from us, made invisible by our laziness which, certain of a future, delays them incessantly.

'But let all this threaten to become impossible forever, how beautiful it would become again! Ah! If only the cataclysm doesn't happen this time, we won't miss visiting the new galleries of the Louvre, throwing ourselves at the feet of Miss X, making a trip to India.

'The cataclysm doesn't happen, we don't do any of it, because we find ourselves back in the heart of normal life, where negligence deadens desire. And yet we shouldn't have needed the cataclysm to love life today. It would have been enough to think that we are humans, and that death may come this evening."

I'm thinking of using him as well. A few things worry me though:

1. He only caught 3 of his 10 targets
2. WIll Heller played more snaps then him after Pettigrew left
3. 10 targets could have been a result of opponent. ARI's offense is non-existent.

Heller is more of a blocker than receiver so he's not much of a threat. I'm picking him (Scheffler) up in leagues where I can upgrade at TE. He's got good hands, size, and a littttle speed for his size. Also, that receiving core is massacred so he'll get the targets against a weak Arizona D.

I'm starting him over Rudolph if Pettigrew is inactive.  My league gives 1.5 ppr for TE's, and his floor will be 5 catches.  Stafford trusts him and looks for him in the RZ.  I love him this week  and I think the experts/rankers are totally sleeping on him.

Considering he had 3 catches last week, I don't see why you say his floor is 5 catches. Pettigrew left the game in the 1st quarter, and Heller had 4 catches.

good stuff here. In looking at his stats, he has probably one of the worst target to reception ratios in the league...lol..I will see if I can find some data to back that up. but here is an update on Petti...

Brandon Pettigrew (ankle) did not practice for the second consecutive day Thursday.
Lions with minor nicks such as Louis Delmas and Chris Houston returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. Pettigrew's inability to join them speaks volumes. He's on the wrong side of questionable right now, leaving Matthew Stafford's receiving corps even more short-handed. Calvin Johnson and Tony Scheffler project as target monsters against the Cardinals Sunday. Dec 13 - 11:58 AM

I will be starting Schef over Rudolph

Better matchup, better weather conditions.  I think the targets being there is a very positive sign, and he'll haul in at least half of them vs. Arizona in a dome.
