What do we think about this guy now with Patrick Patterson out with an injured foot?
For me, I think they need to start him at PF for as long as Patterson is out. However, his minutes and opportunities had vastly decreased since Carlos Delfino returned from his injury. He was playing well in his court-time before that. I'm not sure I can see the Rockets throwing Delfino into the starting lineup and basically playing four guards/SFs with Lin, Harden, Delfino or Douglas, and Parsons. I also can't see them throwing Terrence Jones out there as a starter either, so they may be forced to throw Morris out there. He had a string of 4-5 games in the middle of November where he saw 25-30 minutes per game. Might this man become a relevant fantasy player for however long Patterson is out -- at least as a reliable streamer or deep league producer?
Not knowing what the Rockets will do, I'm throwing out a wild projection of 11 pts, 5 rebs, 1 stl, .7 blk, 1.5 -3ptr in 29 minutes as long as Patterson is out. His per 36 minute numbers this season so far are 13.8 pts 7.7 rebs 1.5 - 3's.

Thanks for adding that and that could be a possibility as he has shown some promise in the last three games or so, but I could see that slowing down a fast paced team like the Rockets if they have both Smith and Asik on the floor at the same time. Morris would keep the floor spread.
I like Morris to start, hes more of a natural PF and they need Smith off the bench to spell Asik (he's their only other C). Not expecting a lot with Harden dominating the ball but he can contribute in all categories similar to his brother, in Phx.
I think they see Smith as more of the backup C (of which the Rockets lack sorely) than a PF so the only player I see really threatening Morris' playing time is Terrence Jones. But McHale has been pretty wary of rookies...so I think his playing time is pretty safe until PPatt comes back .

Guys are dropping much better players (Gee, Seraphin) for this guy. It's a mirage. Rockets will use him when he's hot, and he will have 1 good game in 4. But Delfino also spaces the floor, without the mental lapses on D. Delfino lost his stroke sitting on the bench, but will get it back. Then you have Greg Smith, who looks like the real thing off the bench. (I picked up Smith when Patty went down. That might have been a mistake, since, as monkeysonSteroids pointed out above, they need Smith to spell Asik. Nonetheless, Smith adds another big to the rotation.)
So what's the long-term outlook on Morris? Patty will be back, and then Morris goes back to being a 15-minute wonder off the bench. Compare with Gee, who starts, and Seraphin, who has a much better chance of being a 30-minute guy in March.
Go to the 7:15 mark... They said that Bill Worrell mentioned that Patterson may be out for the season.
