Looking ahead to next season I am wondering how the forum feels about the situation in Stl moving forward. Richardson def looked good in limited carries this season but Pead was a high draft pick with some sneaky talent. How do you guys see this unfolding for 2013. Anyone from St.Louis got any good nuggets regarding the situation?

SJax says he plans to return in 2013 and finish out his career as a Ram. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened, as he still looks pretty good.

I'm still leaning towards the idea that S-Jax might not be a Ram next year despite what S-Jax has said. He's an aging guy that's seen his best days. If he does go I'm all over Richardson next year as a potential breakout candidate, I don't think Pead would be a huge threat to his value, he might be only a 6-10 snaps a game guy if Richardson doesn't disappoint.

I don't think he'll be there. SJax is also one of those backs that gets better as the game goes on, he's not a good RBBC partner to Richardson. I could see him moving on and a Richardson/Pead RBBC next season.

Which one do you think is going to start and get more carries. Right now I think Richardson but it could go both ways.

Don't rule out Stacy. All three have a shot. It looks like any one of them could win the job in camp or it could be a two or three man RBBC. It's too soon to tell. Early drafters should probably ignore all St. Louis RBs.

I agree its totally up in the air at this point. I suspect Richardson will have a role no matter what though considering he played well last year and he's currently at the top of their depth chart.

After reading Silva's article on Richardson, I too decided to take an objective look at film on all 3 guys (Richardson, Pead & Stacy).

Watching all three in rapid succession It becomes quite clear that Richardson is the superior runner.  Even through the tackles, Richardson hits the hole with authority and gets to the second level very quickly.  He looked like Steven Jackson (and got mistaken for him multiple times, and not just because of the dreads hanging out.)  Richardson's explosiveness reminds me of another 2nd year guy with upside named WIlson.

I understand that Fisher has noted Richardson as merely a perimeter runner, but the tape doesn't lie.  Watch all three of them yourself and decide.

I think the Rams are trying to go for a more passing oriented attack with Cook, Austin, Givens, Quick and some of the guys further down the depth chart. This might lead to the best blocking RB in the mix playing a lot of snaps. Now effective RB blocking can be taught if you take the time, but if none of them really separate from the pack based on their running ability the guy with the best blocking could get the nod. Stacy showed decent blocking abilities in college, while blocking does not seem to be great strengths of Pead or Richardson.

Right now Pead is my least favorite in the mix. His one week suspension will give Richardson or Stacy the chance put up great week 1 numbers and lock up the job. Richardson's ADP puts him in round 7-8 or so while Stacy's ADP is round 11. There are still some solid WRs in round 7-8 I would prefer to pick to fill out my roster. But round 11 is about lotto picks for me.

This is good advice, however, I think if a clear leader in touches emerges they may have decent value. With a vastly improved receiving corps I think the days of stacking the box constantly againt STL are probably over, hence room to run.

Yeah, for sure. If any one of these guys were the only show in town, a la Lamar Miller, there would be a massive hype train following them. But the current uncertainty makes it difficult for me to draft any of them prior to preseason.

I think this offense will produce one true borderline fantasy starter. If Givens is learning to play all over the field like Bradford says he is I think it might be him.

I don't get why this team is so bad. Assuming touchback. All they need to do is move the ball 30 yards to score at least 3 points.

I'm a rams fan and all I gotta say is Bradford needs to step it up this year. I've never liked him and everybody behind him has used excuse after excuse each season:

Bad O-line, bad play calling, changing offensive coordinators, no help at WR/TE, etc.

If he doesn't step it up this year I don't want to see him starting a game next year. I do believe he will step it up though. He has the same offensive coordinator returning for the first time ever, a plethora of talented young recievers, a big TE who can catch, a revamped O-Line, good defense to back him up, and a good head coach. Martz, Linahan, and Spags ruined this team for years wasting 1st rd picks on useless players and THE WORST play calling I've ever seen. Atleast their future is bright, but I have a feeling they won't be in STL much longer

The Rams D should be a juggernaut and witg Tavon Austin the return man they should have great special teams.  I'm sleeping hard on them for my DST this year.

Tasty week 1 matchup at Home vs AZ. Terrible O line- no Running backs and Carson learning new system. Not only do i like them Week 1 but i like STL to finish as a top 5 fantasy defense!

They just cut Dunbar...can we still consider their defense top 5?
