Other than Drummond (who most hardcore fans know about), I think Daye is the other Pistons player with unique physical skills who could gain fantasy relevance with a bump in minutes. It doesn't make sense why a perennial lottery team hasn't played Daye, a former 1st round pick instead giving minutes to guys like Charlie V, Kyle Singler, Jonas Jerebko, and even aging Tayshaun Prince over the last couple of years. Actually with Joe Dumars anything is possible lmao

Daye is a 6'11'' swingman (sg/sf) who's best comparison is Kevin Durant because his frame is so unique for his position and he is a spot up shooter. He has been playing more because the Pistons are shopping him, but hopefully he can earn more time while he is getting the increased burn. If he got more aggressive on on both ends he should be able to siphon minutes from "blah" Singler. His per 36 stats indicate a unique combination of boards, 3's, blocks (especially from a SG eligible player) and the projected stats from his other seasons suggests that he could average closer to one steal/game than this years numbers suggest. He's not addable, but he could become a watchlist flyer is the pistons continue to play him........

From what I've seen, Jerebko is a VERY solid player, and I really wish they'd invest some time in developing him. He had a very solid rookie year, but for some reason his minutes have declined sharply after every season. Thus, I think it's a bit unfair to put Jerebko, and even Kyle Singler, in the same sentence as Villanueva and Prince in that context.

Anyway, Daye has teased enormous fantasy potential for years now. Two preseasons ago (or maybe even three?), he posted monster stats in the preseason. I know that preseason is a whole different ballgame, but everyone was so sold on Daye simply because of his make-up; just like you said, a 6'11 spot-up shooter with a unique frame usually makes for tantalizing fantasy potential. However, every season he's disappointed, and I don't think this guy will ever be relevant unless he works on his confidence, and his defense.

Yeah, I was going to say that most hardcore fans know all about Daye and his recent history.  As you also said, he's demonstrated that ability to contribute in volume across the board, and I think a lot of us have rostered him in pretty much all formats in the hope he would get that regular PT that would make him at worst a Glue Player, if not a fantasy star...I know I did.

I'm actually rostering the 2012/13 version of him, named Ersan Ilyasova.

Just fyi, the guy is ranked #66 overall in 9-cat over the last 5 games. If he gets burn or gets traded, he goes supernova.

The reason he is getting minutes now is because he is being showcased for a trade. I have always thought this guy could produce if given the minutes but i guess it would depend on where he went. For fantasy this guy is up there with Anthony Randolph and Tyrus Thomas as major cock teasers.

honeslty, i don't think there is one single must add person so far in this trade. Most of the names are probalby already grabbed in your league. Dont see one single beneficior that is probalby on the wire.
