I like this team. I think it's pretty balanced. There should be enough average guys to offset some of the BA drains, and enough power/speed spread out through the lineup to be competitive there as well. From a pitching standpoint I'm very content with my staff. It's not the best in the league, but I never really set out to have the best pitching staff on draft day. I'll take my chances with the waiver wire and trades throughout the year and I think in the end I'll be solid across the board. I think I got pretty good values on two young pitchers, Lance Lynn and Wade Miley, at the back end of my rotation.

Strengths will be HR's and RBI. My SP's are solid and will put me in the upper tier in ERA and WHIP, and might do well in W's but that's always hard to predict.
Weaknesses might be runs and SB's, although that will depend on whether some of my late rounders pay off, and of course the aforementioned saves.

My offence looks average to solid. Gomez my only real average drain on paper and Escobar/Scutaro my only real power drains. I drafted quite a few guys I normally wouldn't but with my rankings not finished it was a little more difficult process than I am used to.
On the pitching side of things I love Hamels/Wainright as a core. I think Garza can be an effective #3, and I'll have to hit on a couple of: Minor, Ogando, Milone, Cobb. If not I'm sure a few SP will come along and I'll end up dropping most of them. My RPs are as rock solid as they come so no worries there.

This team should do well offensively as there are plenty of 20/20 possibilities in Cargo, Hanley, Ellsbury, B.J. Upton, Kipnis and Lawrie (Castro is a longshot due to HRs but possible).
I took Bill James optimistic projections for the 13 starting hitters and they averaged out to:
Bavg = .279
HRs = 21
Runs = 86
RBI = 78
SBs = 19
Maybe a little lite in RBI.
Cowbell made the first 7 selections and did a good job of acquiring young power/speed (20/20) hitters. He also locked up the 3 MI positions by the 6th round (Hanley, Castro and Kipnis).
I finished out the draft for him starting in Round 8. Cowbell's foundation was very strong in SBs, MI and OF but had zero pitching so I set out to intially add pitching followed by power (Ike Davis and Ryan Howard) and pretty much ignore OF and SBs until much later.
I still fell this team is a bit short on SPs (the #1, 2 of Sale and Haren scares me!) but is loaded at RP (Motte, Rodney, Marmol & Valverde) and would be looking to trade 1 or more closers to strengthen the rotation. May also look to deal Hanley or Castro to a SS needy team for a #1 SP.
Overall I feel this team would be contending and has a good chance of finishing in the money.

Don't have great front line pitching but I was looking at all the guys you got on the back end... I think they are al great values where you got them (Hellickson, Wilson, and Beckett)

Did the same thing for my team with the James projections.
Runs=80
HR=21
RBI=80
SB=11
BA=.277
So you best me 3 Cats...Tied in 1 and barely beat you in RBI.. SB's are way down..but that's how I usually build my team's..but this one was not as strong...
