Yeah I think I really messed up here. Anyways I was hoping to get some feedback on if I stand a chance. This is how I drafted my team. I'm in a 12 man league with 10 categorys and head to head.

1. Pekka Rinne-Goalie
2. Ryan Miller- Goalie
3. Kris Letang-Defense
4. Dustin Byfuglien-Rightwing, Defense
5. Dan Boyle-Defense
6. Joe Pavelski-Center
7. Teemu Selanne-Rightwing
8. Kevin Shattenkirk-Defense
9. David Krejci-Center
10. Matt Duchene-Center, Leftwing
11. Cam Fowler-Defense
12. Patrick Elias-Center, Leftwing
13. Jaromir Jagr-Rightwing
14. Ian White+Defense
15. T.J. Oshle-Center, Rightwing

I did notice these guys are some sought after free agents in the Yahoo transaction trends. Should I pick any of em up?

1. Travis Zajac-Center
2. Damien Brunner-Rightwing
3. Shane Doan-Leftwing

Thanks in advance for any type of feedback. I don't know why I drafted two goalies as my top two picks but I kinda panicked.

Yeah I am not too happy with this team. I went after Goalies and Defense and I probably could have gotten better ones.

Rinne was a great first pick but ur next 4 picks should have been forwards. Why bufflugen and Doyle? U tier defensemen to rank against defensemen not forwards. I don't think u have a chance. U can't trade because u will never get value back. Plus u need a few forwards adding say iginla does nothing overall for ur team. I just don't understand why u took 2 goalies and 3 defensemen? I bet u learn ur lesson for next year. I drafted 11 and one have taken a goalie if one had fell. the top 3 did not.

I was thinking I could dominate the goalie and defense categorys and sometimes get lucky with the skater categorys. We'll I will deff be checking on here for new pickups. Is it too early to pickup Travis Zajac? Is he any good? I read he signeda big contract so the Devils must see something in him.

Don't panic- your team isn't that bad, at all. Everyone else will be picking up backup Gs and Ds the first game or two and you will be able to take your time on forwards. You have one extra D which isn't necessary (Byfuglien should always be rostered as a "D") so you can drop the weak one after 2 or 3 games and get the best FA Center (there are scores of excellent FA Centers in every league) and play your others as wingers.
BASKETBALL: Yahoo Public League: Roto, 12 Team, 9 cat

You have no forwards. Should've gone with them after Rinne. Dmen linger around in most drafts along with 2nd tier goalies like Ryan Miller.

Help with mine?

Well the good news is that if Miller returns to form you'll have the best 1-2 goaltending tandem in the league most likely, unless somebody else got Lundqvist and Quick. Defense is pretty damn good. You and I made the same mistake, we built from the net out at the expense of forwards. You're missing that impact player up front who can reliably get you above 80 points in a normal season. A lot of your guys are either aging or big question marks.

I would probably drop Fowler or Ian White (since your starting D is so good I doubt you'll start either of them) and DEFINITELY grab Brunner. Like, before someone else does. Like, don't finish reading this post and go grab him now. He's a roll of the dice, but he's playing RW on the top line with Datsyuk and Zetterberg, and hell, I could probably put up points on that line. Detroit's brass seems to have a lot of confidence in the Swiss star, and if he pans out he'll be a hell of a free agent steal. If not, you've lost nothing in taking the gamble.

Help?

Thanks for the feedback, I will deff be reading what you guys have to say on this forum on who to pickup. I wish I could help on other teams but I really have no idea who is good or bad.
