I dont think he will at the beginning of the season.. but i fully expect him to be a starter by all star break. I like him a lot this year, he seems to have fixed what troubling him early last year and he has so much talent and potential.

I would think he's more than 50/50 to break camp. If he does make the team out of spring watch out he could be in for a very nice season.

If Garcia is not healthy come spring training (which I think is a very real possibility) then there will be two spots available for Rosenthal, Miller, Lynn, and Kelly. I think Miller wins that 5th spot.

Agreed. I'm also not sure why the Cards decided to hold onto Westbrook. I'd rather start developing a young pitcher with upside out there (take your pick with Lynn, Miller, and Rosenthal) than him.
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

I guarentee its a decision the Cardinals are regretting already. They signed Westbrook to an extension in-season last year when Miller was having a rough AAA year, Lynn had slowed down, and Carpenter had yet to come back healthy. If they knew they had all these starting pitcher options I don't think they would have done it. The Cardinals have already said Lynn is the favorite for the job so unless Garcia isn't ready or one of the others really impress then Rosenthal, Miller, and Kelly are going to be left out, Kelly would probably slide into a bullpen role. However, if you can afford to hold on to Rosenthal and Miller I think they have great upside for later in the season. Cardinals are quietly developing a lot of pitching prospects.

From what i gather from the press conference, they are gonna look internally, i.e. Miller.

Good to hear they will look internally. I am very very high on Miller then. I'm assuming he will still be had at a good value

This. They shouldn't (and appears they won't) pay for Lohse. They have a lot of young arms ready to step up. Miller, Lynn, and Rosenthal are just a few of them. This is definitley a good move for fantasy as another one of them will get a shot to be a starter in the majors. Whichever 2 it is will be worth picking up at the end of drafts.
