Blown coverage by Goldson there, you'd think his number 1 priority would have been to keep Julio/Roddy in front of him all game....

SF bit on that play-action HARD. Not sure why since there front 3 were handling the run on their own up to that play. Great call by ATL.

Major credit to Ryan for seeing that develop and not over throwing.

ATL usually starts pretty fast at home (see last week) so SF will need to weather the storm and get some first downs....

3 and out is not the start they wanted.....

I'd love to see the Falcons pour it on here.

Win or lose, this is the classic example of why home field advantage matters so much.   SF just looks a step slower, and confused right now.    At home, on West Coast, hard to believe it would be this bad.

Ahmad Brooks is out. Trainers looking at him. ATL might take a shot deep.

I will say this - ATL has the A+ offensive game plan - Julio with 4 catches, already trying to get Roddy on slant, and Gonzalez for the 1st down...getting their best players involved early & often.

ATL lead the league in 1st possession scores so why SF elected to kick to them made no sense to me. SF could have gotten the ball and taken the air out the ball, keep the crowd out.

If you can protect the QB, you have always been able to throw on the Niners.  Only Brown has above average coverage skills.... And the ILBs get good depth.  But you can still attack them on the edges and their safeties....

Best thing for SF D is the security guard getting hurt, they needed this break.

He's up & around, but TV timeout helps SF even more.

Imo, that has been Atlanta's "thing" over the past few years.  It seems like every tough opponent they draw in the regular season, they manage to play at home.  Consequently the homefield advantage tips the scale in their favor and they end up winning by like a FG or something.

I don't watch college football much, but a few years ago I remember seeing Julio play and he really impressed me.

And last year it was Lamar Miller who really impressed me. It'll be interesting to see how he does when he gets a chance to play.
