I hear ya, try being a Vikes fan.
Here's the thing, if someone asked me what NFL teams would almost certainly make the playoffs for the next 3-4 years straight, the only team I would list with a high degree of confidence would be SFO.
also I think people forget but Justin Smith isnt getting any younger and without him playing well the D reverts to being mediocre, as secondary isnt masked anymore by pass rush. and while LBs are amazing, they cant consistently cover guys like Boldin.
at this point, I wouldnt mind spending a high pick to get Revis as a one-year rental.
