16 team league, keep 5
I started with
Rice, Decker, Calvin, Hernandez as keepers.
I traded Rice for Rodgers and a 9th round pick, then traded Decker + Schaub for Cobb and a 9th.
Im thinking with just keeping 4... then drafting pretty much RB only for the first few rounds... So my team looks like this

Did I make good moves? I feel like RB is very important in a bigger league because there are only so many starters.. but I think I can recover this year and hopefully get my own Alfred Morris in late rounds this year

I think you did yourself a disservice by letting Rice go without reacquiring a RB. In a 16 teamer it is guaranteed that the top 15, maybe 20 RBs will be kept. You are solid at the other positions but like you said, RB position is important. The other positions are so much deeper.

rodgers , calvin, cobb, hernandez is pretty awesome for a 16 teamer ... and all should be good for a long time
love rice but he's heading towards a timeshare so the upgrade from shaub to rodgers was nicely done ... got the rodgers/cobb connection too

I'd keep the players you already have being Calvin , Rodgers , Hernandez & Cobb. That is a awesome group of studs. They will keep you in the title hunt for many years down the road. Nicely done!

I don't think I like it for one simple reason: with as many as 80 potential keepers, what RBs are actually going to be available to you. I have to think it's going to be pretty sparse.

your RBs will be weak ... but you have the best QB to carry you ... the best WR to carry you ... a stud WR2 [i love that you have the rodgers/cobb connection]... and 1 of the few "elite" TEs to more than compensate for your lack of an "RB1".
Going from Shaub to Rodgers is huge, and i don't love Rice's long term outlook with Pierce waiting in the wings.
You have 4 elite, young players to keep you competitive every year. I'd look into moving Cobb for a RB like Spiller if possible ... but I wouldn't trade him for anything less than a young stud rb like richardson/spiller.
I can't imagine too many teams in a 16 teamer that have a better foundation than rodgers/calvin/cobb/hernandez.

I love Calvin and Hernandez, that's pretty beastly. Personally, I'd have undoubtedly held on to Rice's lock for top-5 production, especially with QB being very deep. And I'd also have preferred Decker over Cobb next year.
Rice is good enough to carry an RB corps, you could have gotten just a decent RB in the draft and been set, whereas a good QB could have been had easier.
Just my thoughts, I think your team still looks pretty good, but your RB's will be weak.
