Below are the comparison of Jayson Werth the year before he joined the Phillies, and Delmon Young's stats from last year. Charlie did a great job making Jayson the player he is today, The stats are very comparable, and if he can help turn Delmon's swing and hustle around then the Phillies most certianly have a bargin.

Werth had a gruesome wrist injury that sapped his power for years. I believe he had 3 different surgeries on the same wrist.

Delmon has no such excuse.
I will never draft Francisco Liriano ever again.

Opening the season on the DL, looks like a great signing already. I hope Ruf gets hot in ST, gets the job, and then never gives it up.

Young officially put on the DL yesterday - per usual, Rotoworld is completely oblivious to the most basic of information.

As a Phils fan I'm looking forward to a slimmed down Young, and we need some offense or a gust of fresh air.

But does anyone have a time table for him? And I would think at how crappy Brown, and Mayberry are playing, he is full time when he gets back right?

Projections?

I project 10% will add, 90% will laugh, then 10% drops in two weeks.

Unless he found himself and something clicked he's worthless. What good are 20 homers if you're paying for it handsomely in every other category?

Rather just play BJ Upton and pray he gets HBP and steals a base.

He's close to useless. Finds a way to turn it up a few notches in the playoffs, but yeah other than that - useless.

I could see this being a career year for him, he can rake and he's really well protected as compared to previous years.
I represent an expert manager.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I am hoping he can be a source of some power until Heyward gets back.
12- team H2H 6 x 6 (OBP, HR, R, RBI, Steals, XBH, QS, ERA, WHIP, Ks, K/BB, SvHd)
10- team Roto 5 x 5 standard cats
20- team Roto 6 x 6 (OBP, HR, R, RBI, Net Steals, XBH, QS, ERA, WHIP, Ks, K/BB, Net Saves)

And my teams are good.
