I Give: Jason Heyward, Danny Hultzen and James McDonald
I Get: Stephen Strasburg and Max Scherzer
My Roster:
C – Willin Rosario, Travis d'Arnaud
1B – Eric Hosmer, Anthony Rizzo
2B – Ben Zobrist
3B – Evan Longori, Mike Olt
SS – Hanley Ramirez
OF –Curtis Granderson, Jay Bruce, Jason Heyward, Corey Hart, Shane Victorino
SP – Cliff Lee, R.A. Dickey, Mat Latos, James McDonald, Jeff Samardzija, Jonathon Niese, Brett Anderson, Tyler Skaggs, Danny Hultzen, Jake Odorizzi, Zack Wheeler, Jacob Turner
I'm losing my best OF in Heyward which really weaken my OF. But I'm getting a top end SP in Stras which will be the Ace of my staff for seasons to come. I make my pitching staff a lot stronger but weaken my offense. Should I make this deal?
My Roster:
C – Willin Rosario, Travis d'Arnaud
1B – Eric Hosmer
2B – Robinson Cano, Josh Rutledge
3B – Evan Longoria, Nick Castellanos
SS – Hanley Ramirez, JJ Hardy
OF – Jason Heyward, Jay Bruce, Austin Jackson, BJ Upton
SP – Jordan Zimmermann, Jeff Samardzija, Hyun-Jin Ryu, R.A. Dickey, Brandon Morrow, Jonathon Niese, Brett Anderson, Ian Kennedy, Dan Straily, Zack Wheeler, Archie Bradley, Jameson Taillon, Tyler Skaggs, Danny Hultzen

I was flip-flopping on this. Yes, you'd have a dynamic pitching staff with Strasburg, Dickey, Lee, Latos, Scherzer, and company, and the majority of it is fairly young. You'd be giving up a top pitching prospect in Hultzen to do it, and I feel like while McDonald is serviceable, he fails in comparison to most of your staff.
The big loss is Heyward. Obviously you'd have an open spot, but as the above mentioned, you'd be starting Victorino with Hart injured. If you feel that you can get by with Bruce/Granderson/Victorino until either a) you get a deal for an OF or b ) Hart comes back, I might say yes to the deal. You've still got a lot of young prospect arms that moving Hultzen wouldn't hurt you.
Maybe try trading Dickey or Lee for an OF? You'd still be pretty strong SP wise without one of them.

I think you are getting more value from the Stras/Max side. I'd take the plunge

I am in the middle ground here. I am okay with the deal because you are getting the best player in the deal and Scherzer is a nice pitching to have as well. Giving up MacDonald and Hultzen should barely be an issue with your team and the amount of young pitching that you have. But the big issue here is that you are giving up Heyward, because after Heyward your outfield is very thin, in my opinion. Especially when you couple it with the fact that Hart is going to miss a good chunk of the season. Plus when you look at that long term, Bruce is going to be your only viable option in a few years. I am scared of Granderson with his strikeout rate going up every year since 08 and Victorino is getting up there in age as well.
So my advice if you do make the trade (and what 2ndCity said is true, you are getting more value in making the deal), is that you should look into trading one of your pitchers (Dickey or Latos) along with one of your backup corners (Rizzo or Olt) and trade for a young outfielder. The trade shouldn't hurt your outfield situation too much for this year even with Hart hurting, because Victorino should be worthy of OF3 spot for this year at least.

But your OF is totally hosed with this move. I would say make the offer without Strasburg and Heyward. The other guy will probably jump at the chance. Meanwhile, you will have just massively upgraded your SP at the cost of a pitching prospect in Hultzen. Oh wait, I just said TINSTAAPP.
Hultzen and J-Mac for Scherzer. Do that.
