Colin Kaepernick 2013 Season Outlook

That being said, Kaep isnt an elite talent yet. Not saying he isnt a top 10 qb from his rookie year which says a lot but elite? not yet. so the defense thing hinders his value a little bit but you're on crack if you think a kicker will do anything to hurt it. I rank kaep as my number 9 or 10 qb behind the big 3, peyton, Matty Ice, cam, stafford, rgIII and maybe even Luck. Yes he has good upside and hes on a good team but i feel like the people i listed ahead of him all have more upside than him and have all proved it once before, maybe with the exception of luck but i think he makes huge strides in his 2nd year and jumps up that list.
I think kaep goes off the board as the 9th or 10th qb which is a good value based draft position for him but i just wouldnt jump early on him to grab him over any of those guys i listed.

now you're plain wrong about harbaugh being conservative because he had a garbage qb.
watch the miami sf game, as well as the second rams game (I suggest watching the all 22 film, but even the regular feed will be fine)
[in fact, I remember many people on THIS SITE asking what was the point of changing alex for kaep if harbaugh was going to be conservative, after those games]
watch harbaugh at stanford with one of the best college qbs of our time running the ball more than half the time
watch harbaugh before stanford, at sdsu talking how the #1 job of the qb is to take care of the ball
everything about harbaugh screams conservative unless his team falls behind

especially if you get a stud kicker after the disaster of a year Akers had...it changes your options in those 35 yard line 3rd and medium/long situations, especially if you are playing ahead...you arent forcing things.
a good defense is far more important factor, no doubt

I think Harbs is a conservative coach by nature, but I think the urge to take the brakes off is going to be too strong to resist once they see what Kaep can do with a full offseason taking starter reps (not to mention what we have already seen!). I know Roman is already cooking up a much more ambitious playbook than they had last season.
Harbaugh loves to run the ball and play strong D, and there is no better position to do that from then a 14+ point lead. I think they will want to establish the lead and play 'Harb-ball' from there.

3,755 passing yards, 23 passing TD's, 7 INT's, 537 yards rushing with 5 TD's.
Now if we take Colin's playoff numbers and project those over a whole season:
4,256 yards passing, 21 passing TD's, 11 INT's, 1,408 rushing yards with 16 rushing TD's.
Just need to know which Colin we are getting, but either way, I am very excited to own him in a dynasty league and for his future and of the 9ers.
