I have the first pick in the draft and its a keep 8 in a 12 team points league.

You have to keep 2 pitchers as of now my keepers are
Longo
Hanley
J upton
Ellsbury
Grander son
Felix Hernandez
Beachey

Someone has offered me Halliday lincecum and tiex for my first overall pick and Felix. If I don't keep 8 I get a keeper draft pick.

I wouldn't, not sure of the intricacies of your league but it sounds like the person you're trading with is just trying to clear roster room for their keepers, or for an extra pick.

Keep the best player in the deal (Felix) and keep your first overall.

Well there are a couple ways to look at it:
1: Trades where you are giving up a great keeper (Felix) for someones lower ranked keeper and a couple of non keepers is generally not a good idea.

2. That said, I do like both of those guys on a bounceback and if you need 2 pitchers? where is your other going to come from?

I would be that Lincecum won't be kept so if you like him than just pick him in the draft.

I agree with what a couple others stated. Felix is the top (current and future) star in this deal. I wouldn't unload him for a two older broken down players and Lincecum after a down year.

Add me to the list of folks saying PASS. Too many fading stars in this deal. I understand the having to keep 2 pitchers, but Beachy will be a dead spot on your roster for months. No other pitcher to keep? Can that 2nd pitcher be not kept and use that for your keeper draft slot?
