Is he going to be able to produce decent numbers offensively? I think he is more of a defensive third baseman.

He's about all defense. Not much with that bat. Don't see too much value for him other than a guy you pick up a play if he gets on a hot streak. Probably a waiver wire fodder for most of the year though.

He wasn't even drafted in my 12 team AL only with a weak 3B crop. I'll be shocked if he does anything of value.

Maybe has value in a 16 or 20 team league with big rosters but that's it.

This guy has been playing pretty well. I just scooped him up and I'm excited to see if this power and run production continues.

Bat might be catching up with glove. He's been rolling the last 2 weeks. With favorable matchups next week I'm gonna plug him in the CI spot.

From what I've read, Bo Porter really believes in this kid, which should be job security considering the carousel at so many of their other positions/roster spots. Sometimes all you need is the confidence in playing everyday. The optimist in me says his glove will keep him in the lineup throughout, and he has yet to put a full season of MLB AB's together at age 23. The pessimist says he was a mediocre minor league hitter. I'm rostering him for now with a short leash.

He seems to have the power lately, but the BA is still a killer.

Anybody buying? The power looks legit and he is up to 41 RBI and swinging a hot stick.

He has quietly put together a nice run of late. He now has 17 HR and 62 RBI, and turns 24 next week. The average is still low, but he's added 10 points over the last 10 games. I might take a flier in my deep dynasty league, especially with Wright on the mend.

He's a cheap power source if you can handle him crapping all over your avg or OBP.

He's definitely provided a lot more value than I would've thought going into this year.
