I need to keep 4 players out of these players.

Joey Bats
Billy Butler
BJ Upton
Chase Headley
Brandon Phillips
Adam Jones

I have to keep 5 players but I have  Trout and he is a  given. Please let me know the other 4 you would keep and why.

Bautista - potential outweighs risk
Jones - in line for monster year
Butler -consistently steady performer
Philips - position scarcity, steady option

frankly, i just don't trust upton....and am not a believer in headley.

That's who I would go with as well.  I never really cared for Upton for some reason, and Headley, are you sure he can repeat what he did?  I just don't buy it.

Sorry it is h2h 5x5 12 team league keep 7 players 2 of the 7 have to be pitchers.

I had Trout, Joey Bats, Phillips, and Jones but I was just having trouble filling out the last spot.

I think Headley if he can give me 20/20 from that 3B spot that is still good enough to be a very good 3B option when I am not sure with all the other 3B being kept who might be avaliable in the draft at that postion. 1B might be a little deeper.

Also my first pick in this draft is #49. I traded my first 3 picks in season last year.

I think I have ruled out Upton as well.

If it comes down to headley vs butler I think I'm still taking Butler.  Then again that depends on what is going to be available at 1B.  It is possible to go cheap there this yr.

Any thoughts on mine http://forums.rotowo...howtopic=338527

Upton over Jones for a couple of reasons.
Jones hits a lot of ground balls, does not have near the opportunity to steal bases, walks just as infrequently as BJ, and we saw a 2nd half decline in frequency both of fly balls and balls leaving the yard, protending a cap on his power.
Upton has shown an uptend the last 3 years in both fly balls and home runs per fly ball, with a really fabulous power profile in the 2H of 2012. Add in getting out of the Trop and he has difinite 30+ HR potential. He's absolutely going to steal 30 bags no matter where he hits in the lineup, and if he hits in the 2 hole he'll see lots of fastballs. Yes he has an expected BA range of like .245-250, but he'll match Jones inevery other category and double Jones' steals. I'll trade 15 hits to get 15 steals every time.
