Depends on RG3, but I'm not big on Morris early. Rather go stud QB/WR if hes the best on the board

Sjax got like 20 something touches in the redzone last year.

Michael Turner got something like 51.

Give Sjax 51 touches in the redzone and see what happens. I'm liking him in the second round without a doubt.

How hard is S-Jax gonna run knowing he could be headed for the Superbowl this year? Dude will Lynch it up this year. He needs his own candy. Reeses Pieces perhaps?

I generally try EXTREMELY hard to make sure all of my fantasy RB's are under 30. The age of 30 is a new era for RB's, and injury troubles can go way up, as well as performance. But SJax will probably be one of the very few exceptions as he will turn 30 into next season, and will remain on my target list, even with all the mileage on his tires. His fantasy outlook looks terribly promising on such a high octane offense.

At first, I was pretty hard on this guy. But now that he's with ATL, my expectations are much higher. I'm not even that worried about Quizz  possibly taking some of the work either because Steven Jackson is going to be a TD machine this year.

Just take a look at the TDs Michael Turner had. No less than 10 TDs since he's been in Atlanta. That excites me.

Is there any indication that SJax is not a good goal line/short yardage runner or was his low scoring totals entirely a product of the terrible STL offenses and his lack of goal line opportunities over the last 5 years or so?

Not sure on that but I strongly suspect we will find out what kinda goal line back he still is....I see him getting the great majority of all goal line carries.

I haven't watched many STL games but if I had to guess, it would be that lack of goal line opportunities rather than Jackson's ability to get the job done.

Just acquired him in my keeper league.  I have always had a rule about trading for RBs above 28 but I could really see him being a top 12 RB for this year..,,any maybe even 2014.   In a loaded offense with a chance to win it all....gotta think that brings out his best and inspires him.  Excited to see how he looks in that offense.

I remember several instances of terrible playcalling and terrible execution last year where they would insist on Bradford's passing "skills" on 1st and goal and 2nd and goal. Guess what's coming in 3rd and goal?

SJax is a HOF caliber talent.
Really wish he could have gotten out of STL earlier.
He still has plenty in the tank though.

I am pumped to see what he will do when the games actually mean something.

Turner devolved into a 2 yards/cloud of dust RB and still racked up the TDs...
SJax is soooo much more than that and Atlanta has excellent receivers that both stretch defenses and are willing downfield blockers.

SJax and Rodgers are going to do some seriously good things this season and I suspect SJax will have bellcow numbers.

Is there a possibility that Atlanta decides that a 30 year old back who already has a ton of mileage on him might need to have his touches held somewhat in check so he is fresh for the playoffs?

I sure hope not.  I could see them backing off the carries late in the regular season IF they clinch early but the Falcons have a lot to prove this year.   I am sure they will access as the year goes on.

Don't care if he's not running it 25 times a game. Based on the past 5 or so years with Turner, he will have many goal line looks. He'll probably be in line for quite a few receptions as well.

Frank Gore - 16 carries per game last season
Ray Rice - 16 carries per game last season
CJ Spiller - 13 carries per game last season

All were still fantasy relevant without racking up 300+ carries over the season.

Great points....I could see him getting 17-20 carries a game and catching 3-4 balls a game. If that happens and he stays healthy, he will have RB 1 value most weeks when you add in all the TDs that are expected.
