This year I'm not even taking this thread serious ... I just find the injury prone brigade amusing.

I owned him in 2/3 leagues and still finished top 3 so I guess I havent felt the "burn" from Mcfadden yet. I just love how people think taking Mcfadden in the 2/3 sucks your team into oblivion if he gets hurt.

(insert "bro i play in competitive leaguez bro so itz hard to lose one of my top pix. join a real league bro i'm a pro bro. #probro247)

He's a very talented player with a strong track record in the system they are re-installing ... Around pick 30 there are no "safe" RBs ... there are very few that offer the #cowbellhorseworkmodeswagbeast potential he does at that price either ... and there is no such thing as a "safe" pick (ap...mccoy...charles...forte...) to begin with ...

but whatever.

Maybe you would have won those two leagues if you had had a productive player instead of McFadden.

You're right, its completely silly to consider injury history when drafting a player. Let's get the Jahvid Best hype train rolling again since injuries don't matter.

You keep wanting to compare McFadden, who has a single 1,000 yd season in 5 years to guys like Gore who has 6 in his 8 years.

if i said to completely ignore injury history, i'd be drafting mcfadden in the top 5-10 --- which is exactly the opposite of what i've been suggesting.
and i mentioned those players because at various times they've had a similar list of detractors pounding the "never gonna stay healthy" drum.

basically, advising mcfadden in the 3rd round is doing the exact opposite of what your little call out said i was doing - but carry on.

If I end up drafting him, he'll be a bust. If I don't end up drafting him, he'll be a top 3 RB. I'll let you guys know if I draft him or not.

Matthew Berry released updated rankings this week. He has DMC ranked 65th overall and the #24 RB (OUCH!).

If he costs less than $20 in an auction, i'll take him. Makes a decent flex play for half the season.

Mr. Berry, you are insane.

I don't think those are from his recent rankings (updated May 7th http://espn.go.com/f...ball-ranks-2013).

The RBs surrounding DMC are

#20- D.Wilson
#21- C. Ivory
#22- L. Miller
#23- D. Sproles
#24- D. McFadden
#25- V. Ballard
#26- B. Green-Ellis
#27- L. Bell

Clearly Berry's word isn't the gospel but he's a well-respected fantasy mind and even I thought that this ranking was pretty low so I thought I'd share this with the thread. This dude has James Jones and Cecil Shorts ranked higher than DMC!
