Anyone else holding this guy? I would've dropped him if it wasn't for my league's weekly FA limit and just plugged him into the only empty spot I had today on a whim. He somehow managed to go 7/8 FG 3/4 FT 17p 13r 2a 1b 1to. Now the question is, with him seemingly trading off great and terrible games in Carlisle (aka AIDS Jim Carrey's) schizophrenic system, do I keep him or drop him (considering I make it to the next round). Thoughts?
How'd you get the beans above the frank!?

I don't trust him as a consistent fantasy option yet, but if you're looking to maximize # games and have an overloaded roster on Mon/Wed, the fact that Dallas plays on Tue/Thu (where there aren't many games) might help.

Currently my roster is overloaded on Wednesday, so I would highly likely cut a low-end guy on Monday, and stream in Wright for Tue/Thu. I actually did the same thing last week, and after seeing today's results, maybe I should've just held him instead.

Yes, and he was firmly on my bench today, and I'm cursing myself now. I've been holding him, partly due to weekly transaction limits in my league and partly because he is no worse really than any other big man on the free agent list.

He has been interchanging good games and bad because of minutes and Carlisle, but I'm holding him unless a more promising player with a better weekly schedule becomes available next week...that is if my team even advances. I'm guessing I probably won't move him though as more often than not, he seems to be trusted and get 20+ minutes. And Dallas' schedule is pretty nice going forward.

I made this argument last year ... it didn't work out so well for me ...

But Brandon Wright is a good fit for the Mavs. He's Tyson Chandler light. He's the only legit rim protector on the team, and you have to guard him on the offensive end. His only problem is that he struggles to guard the big physical centers that are prevalent in the Western Conference.

Bottom line is that Wright is seeing more minutes now than he ever has, but he's never going to be a 35+ mpg player because of matchups.
