NBA Free Agency is pretty simple these days:

1. The truly elite players tend to end up in the "sexy" or storied locations: Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Boston (maybe Chicago). Which I think is problematic for the NBA because things then become about are you in a Sexy Local and if thats what it takes to compete, then you might as well just end up with 4 teams in each major city. LA almost had 3 teams as the Kings were gonna move to Orange County.

2. The other second tier guys will end up with some team overpaying them because they cant get anyone else to come there but unfortunately they will tie up like 20-25% of the cap and the team will go nowhere and have no flexibility.

The NBA for the most part (especially when it comes to winning titles) is all about who is the guy at the top of your roster? If he is elite, gererally you are an elite team. Despite being the first major sports league with a Salary Cap which they instituted back in the 1980's, the NBA going back to the Lakers title in 79-80 (Magic's rookie season and 33 Seasons) have had less than 10 franchises win an NBA title and 2 of those were 1 time only (Philly and Dallas), all the rest have been multiple. In that same time, even a have and have not sport like baseball has had that many in the last like 12 years.

The NBA has two serious issues right now:
1. Elite players only going to "sexy" locations, because essentially the money is the same.
2. The one and dones are not good for college OR the NBA, having players who could enter the league and really make an impact because they are 2-3-4 years in college would be better for the league.

I hope Houston gets another All Star caliber player to pair with Harden. I like the look of Milsap, tough savvy defensively capable veteran.

Splitter and Corey Brewer are UFA's both sleeper guys if they land in the right situation

both have really good per 36/min stats and PERs for what it's worth

Nice call here, Splitter in particular. His per 36MPG stats have been fairly consistent over the last 3 seasons and his 12-13 per 36 stats would have made him a top 25 9-cat ranked player.

David West will be a FA. It will be an interesting decision for Indiana. If they can get him on a one or two year deal, it would definitely be worth keeping him around. They have the option of letting him walk and using the amnesty on Danny Granger in order to make a run at Millsap, but I'd say the more sure thing would be to bring West back and let Granger walk after next season which will free up a big chunk of money.

Isn't Dwight Howard a free agent as well? Anyways, I would like to see, Howard go to Houston either him or Milsap because Asik is not an elite defender. CP3 will stay in a Clippers uniform, Jennings will probably move which means Ellis will probably stay. Jarret Jack will stay along with Corey Brewer & J.R. Smith. Only other big names I see moving is OJ Mayo will go, Granger & Josh Smith. I would like to see O.J. Mayo on the Lakers or either Granger. If they lose Howard then they should also get Jefferson and if Denver doesn't retain Brewer then I see him heading to LA. That's my 100% off prediction.

ESPN 14 Team 9 (CAT) H2H

PG: Stephen Curry, Jamal Crawford, Jeremy Lin

SG: Jimmy Butler, Kentavious Pope, Demar Derozan

SF: Draymond Green, Matt Barnes

PF: Paul Millsap, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Amar'e Stoudemire

C: Roy Hibbert, Tim Duncan, Henry Sims

Asik is not an elite defender

That's funny, because Asik is pretty widely regarded as a great defender. Just some articles when I googled Omer asik and defense.

Not a FA and although if it were NBA 2K I would amnesty him and make a big offer for Millsap, the Pacers are a fairly small market team without great attendance and are unlikely to want to pay good money to watch Granger play elsewhere. There's about no chance he re-signs with the Pacers after next year, but I can't see him on another team next year realistically. The emergence of Lance Stephenson has made him expendable, but small market teams aren't real likely to amnesty that big of a contract. Especially since I think Granger has something left.

Cp3 will stay.
I thought Dwight was gonna leave till Kobe for hurt, now I think he'll actually stay.
Al Jefferson to the sixers
Josh smith to the rockets
David west stays
Ellis will realize no other team will offer more than the bucks and stay.
Jennings and Milsap to the mavs

The bucks stand to lose a lot.

The Knicks are the only team who could get CP3 but it seems impossible unless they trade away Chandler.

Dwight could sign and trade to Brooklyn for Brook if there still interested.

Highly doubt cp3 would leave. And if he did I doubt he'd wanna play with melo. You don't need an elite point if Carmelo's on the team. Not a lot pf ball movement with him as he leads the league in usage rate. it would be a waste of cp3's talents.

If Brooklyn traded away Lopez for Howard, if that's even possible, then gave Howard the max, they would be so far over the luxury tax it wouldn't even be funny.
