With him coming back soon, does anyone think he'll get priority in save opportunities? Heath Bell has been his old self but maybe his recent self returns and Putz gets a crack again?

Bell hasn't really been "his old self", IMO. He used to be one of the best in the game. I think Putz will get it back, if and when he comes back healthy, yes.

so many leagues, so little time.

I wouldn't be so quick to crown him the closer right away. He still needs to prove his control and his velocity are up to par. I'll be curious to see how his elbow responds through some back-to-back games considering the injury sounded long term when it happened.

He got through the back-to-back unscathed. Looks like he will be activated from the DL by the weekend, maybe even tomorrow. Will the 9th inning job be waiting for him?

I agree. I think with another couple of clean innings they will rename him closer. Maybe just after the asb.
