Anyone else surprised he isn't getting more pub/hype?

Big Ben can still throw for 4000 yards when healthy. And with Wallace gone, that's 800+ yards from last season that needs to be replaced.

I doubt draft pick Markus Wheaton will contribute much his rookie year.

Sanders has been here for a few years now, is in a contract year, and will start opposite Antonio Brown. It wouldn't surprise me for him to outproduce Brown this year, or at least match him in production.

With Heath Miller still recovering from surgery and probably missing the start of the season, is it out of the question to think both Brown and Sanders are in line for 1000 yard seasons?

I get to keep him as a 16th rounder and I'm pretty excited about it.

I love Sanders, V. Brown and M. Floyd all going in 10-11th and could put up solid numbers this year.
Big Ben isn't a guy who's going to lock onto his favorite target though so I wouldn't expect many huge 100+ 2td games from him but who does from a 10th rounder. I predict all of those 3 guys will put up solid stats this year for WR3/flex status with obvious WR2 upside.

Yes. I think both Pitt WRs are great values this season although I doubt that Sanders out-performs Brown.

His ceiling isn't too huge and I'd prefer not to go into the season with him any higher than my WR4, but he should be a reliable source for at least a few points every week.

Steelers expect 70 catches, 1,000 yards out of Emmanuel Sanders

Once Wallace became a free agent, Sanders slid up the depth chart by default. Whether he broke training camp as the top dog having yet to be seen, his role was bound to increase. Now, we know how far the team expects it to increase.

"They're expecting 70 catches for 1,000 yards, and that's the same thing that I expect for myself."

Sounds good to me. =)

Anyone see Berry's blurb about Sanders? Just got to scratch your head and wonder how this guy is paid to write...

Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Steelers (12th, 9th): When you've got Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger fighting over you, it means one of two things: You're a good wide receiver or you're the last piece of chicken. And the more I think of it, Ben and Tom don't really eat together all that often. And both are paid very well. In fact, if they were at a dinner together for some reason and there was a sudden run on chicken, both could afford to order another helping. I suppose they could be at someone's house and the host's chef ran out of chicken, but whose house would it be? And seriously, don't you think personal chefs prepare for that sort of thing? Like, they buy tons of extra chicken when football players are on the guest list? It's not their money; it's some rich quarterback's cash. They're buying the extra chicken. I guess what I am saying is that Emmanuel Sanders is another good fit for the Haley offense and will benefit from Wallace's absence and moving into Antonio Brown's role. And that I could go for some chicken right about now.

Boy he really took that "chicken" thing too far...I wanted to quit reading it after the first 2-3 sentences lol!! I actually don't mind Berry but this is really poor writing and I hope we never have to read such a ridiculous paragraph the rest of our lives...

Loss of LBell should be good news for PIT passing game. Redman and Dwyer are terrible. Bump up Sanders.

I don't know that becoming one dimensional is ever good for an offense, but I suppose it's possible Ben throws more passes than he would have now. It doesn't change my rankings of the Pitt WRs though.

Sanders has looked good from what I've seen in preseason though.

I think Brown and him are both closer than their ADP's are. Brown is still going much higher.

I've heard from a lot of people that they wouldn't be surprised if NEITHER guy got to 1000 yards though.

I think Brown is still a safe bet to get to 1000 and Sanders to 900+. Don't know if either guy will catch many TD's though.

The way I saw Sanders being used in preseason was similar to how Ben was targeting Miller, which probably explains his high usage in preseason so far.

I think when Miller comes back (which is sooner rather than later), those targets will go back to Miller though.

I wouldn't say big upside.. no one on this team other than Bell has (had?) big upside.

I could see him with 1000yds and 7tds. Thats pretty solid for a flier guy in the 11th rd. Upside in comparison to where drafted

I'm hoping Sanders can provide a few timely weeks of WR2 production since some of my other WRs will likely be injured for at least part of the season.

Big Ben will throw at least 22 TDs if he stays upright. Someone's gotta catch those, Wallace is gone, and Miller will probably miss at least a couple games. Those two combined for 16 of his 26 passing TDs last year.

Maybe, I assumed Stephens-Howling would take on that role when they signed him. So far in preseason Kashif Moore (who?) has 2 returns, Reggie Dunn (who?) has 1 return, and J.D. Woods (who?) has 1 return, so I have no clue who they are gonna put back there lol.
