Signed today as a special assistant in the White Sox front office.  Guess that's officially the end of a great career.

Thanks for the wonderful seasons Jimbo.
What is both surprising and delightful is that spectators are allowed, and even expected, to join in the vocal part of the game.... There is no reason why the field should not try to put the batsman off his stroke at the critical moment by neatly timed disparagements of his wife's fidelity and his mother's respectability. ~George Bernard Shaw

Favorite player of all time for me. Basically because he joined the Phillies right around when I became a huge baseball fan, and helped guide us out of the cellar and set up a lot of what made the 2007-2011 run of the phillies so special!

Can't wait for your acceptance speech, Jim!

Guy was an under appreciated beast and reportedly one of the nicest guys in the game.  I really enjoyed watching him hit.
