I don't see why Matheny even sent Wainwright out there in the 9th. He already had 100 pitches. I think Mujica would have fared better had he come into the game with no one on base.

Either start Mujica or let Wainwright stay in. I hate the "We'll give you until a base-runner reaches" inning from the manager.

I'm a Cards fan, I just don't like Matheny. It's always too much work, or not enough work with the guy. You can't have a closer go 15 days and throw 1.2 innings.
You can put a closer into a game if it's not a save situation if he needs some work, it's legal I think.
