I'm starting a auction keeper league and hoping I can receive some wisdom from this board. What have others done that's been successful? How many dollars at the auction? How many keepers? Do you all have price increases for keepers each year?

The league I am involved in running is somewhat unique, partially because it has run in various forms for over 20 years. We use ESPN's standard $200 format. We are an 8 cat roto format with ft% replaced with ft made. We have a very competitive 8 teams which draft 18 players and start 12. We allow one keeper per year which allows some focus on hoops during the off season. Our rules only allow players that were drafted and held by the same team to be carried (i.e. no players acquired via fa or trades). For each next season we apply an additional $5 to the previous year's price or apply a minimum $15 cost to a player. Players can only be held twice (i.e on the same team for three season before being thrown back in the pool).
