I drafted him in round 12, is he worth holding onto?

I know Forte's getting goal line looks, but they're not paying Michael Bush to be on the bench, are they?!

Hes a better handcuff option. Maybe you could trade him to the Forte owner for a small upgrade for another player on your team.

Bush got the goalline carries in the 3rd preseason game. I just read he played last season with a fractured shoulder. Think he could carve out a role, 10 touches a game or something? He's coming off the board #48RB. Decent value there?

Bush is a TD vulture. If you are in a TD heavy league, you should draft him. I drafted him in the 16th round in our 12 team league. If Forte goes down, he have a RB2

Okay, so let's talk, whatever Michael Bush owners are out there. I assume most, if not all, of you own Forte as well. I'm in that situation, and wondering if this guy has any value, even if Forte goes down.

If Forte were to go down, in the new Bears offense, I am thinking Bush will be at BEST in a timeshare with Michael Ford. It used to be thought that Bush was a premiere handcuff. Now I am wondering if he's even worth rostering, even as a Forte owner (especially with all these tantalizing FA's out there).

There's only a few handcuffs (e.g. Tate, Pierce, Bell, and Brown) that are must-owns, and Bush is not one of them. If you're in a deep league where most of the backup RBs are rostered, then it's fine to keep Bush stashed. But if you're in a standard 10-12 teamer, then I don't see the point of rostering him over other backups that have a better path to PT/ nice upside.

Bush was always an underrated pass catcher as well though, I think he'd have some real value if Forte went down, say 18 touches + a game as the lead in a share. Say 12 to 15 carries every week and 3 to 6 receptions.

Is this true? I don't think I've ever seen Bush catch a pass.

He had 37 catches as the Darren Mcfadden replacement back in 2011...

Okay, because this guy has almost no value, even in deep deep leagues, let's play a "what-if" game.

What if Forte went down with an injury? Where is Bush's value? Would he be... top 20? Are we sure that Trestman would rely on him as the full-time guy?

What would all the fantasy talking heads say to do?

Just because of what's happened in the past, it's been said that Bush is a top backup, but is he? Are we sure Trestman wouldn't split his time with another, more wily back? Bush doesn't seem the best fit for this scheme. Is he even a top 5 handcuff?

"Marc Trestman on Michael Bush: "We’ve kind of isolated and declared Michael our goal-line running back."

I guess that Tweet not too long ago was just smoke and mirrors since he hasn't done much ever since Trestman said that.. I did draft Michael Bush towards the later rounds of one of my leagues but dropped him early.

Thursday night games are usually a nice place to stash handcuffs. I suggest if bush is avail and you have an easy drop,, just pick him up for tonight and stash on your bench. If forte goes down, you have a low end rb1 and you didn't have to use a waiver on him. If forte makes it through the game healthy, no problem. Just drop him for another player.

As a Forte owner, its been nice to not have to roll with a backup as well.

However, i've backed up Forte now, mainly because of the QB situation.

B2Heaven told me that Bush is a dumpster fire add in case Forte goes down...
