Third week in a row Moore's out there with the ones. Any potential upside here?

KW is injured still, but after Boldin its a show me what you got depth chart

right now its kyle williams, marlon moore, quinton patton, chad hall, jon baldwin in that order, but things can change a lot in the course of these two weeks.

both him and patton look good today after the offense struggled  initially. (almost a usual sight lately)

As a fin fan, seen plenty of this guy. Doesn't get good separation, will probably struggle to perform consistently- unless he has improved a lot, havent seen him yet this year.

More Christian Ponder than anything Patterson did. I enjoy watching my players on Sunday. I don't want to have to watch the Vikings offense.

because the unofficial depth chart said so and then harbaugh confirmed it by saying kw and moore are slightly ahead of everyone else for the #2 and #3 jobs ?

Source and date? Is that the same depth chart that had Boldin behind him as well?

Q: Are you getting any definition as far as where things stand at wide receiver?
HARBAUGH: Wouldn’t say anything is cemented, but there has been excellent play from Anquan Boldin. Kyle Williams, we feel we know what Kyle can do. We’re being a little bit cautious there. I’m not going to go through every single guy, but there is a framework there. Marlon Moore has done an excellent job. And I think everybody is in a very competitive role after those three.

I dont know what 'seems' to you, but this is what harbaugh said himself, black on white right there. usually only someone with a made-up mind about something asks for source, then shoots it down when given it, with something that just 'seems'. sorry to be blunt.

now harbaugh is known for not really giving much to the media, but fact is these three guys have been consistently labeled the top 3 WRs. KW has been injured for a while but when he wasnt, he was reportedly best wideout in camp not named boldin. patton been injured as well and only recently was able to play. now if patton can ball out next week without kaep and kw is still injured, moore and patton might leapfrog him.

The 49ers are going to rotate their receivers just like they were doing last year with Manningham/Moss/Williams/Ginn until they started dropping like flies. Whoever wins #2 is irrelevant for fantasy imo.

I mean, what else do you want ?
like Ive said, everything Harbaugh says should be taken with a grain of salt, but the fact is that theres literally nothing on the subject to prove otherwise, besides wishful thinking.

with that said, Moore and Patton looked good today as quick, slant guys who can play slot in the future.

Reading up on Moore, sounds like him and Kaep played each other in college and were friends of sorts.  From what I understand Harbaugh seeked out Moore's agent to get him on the team (probably on the advice of Kaep).  Nothing but highlight reel "eye popping catches" (said Harbaugh) in camp.

Watched him closely this weekend and what stuck out to me the most was that Moore was Kaep's first read in the end zone.  Comparing him and Baldwin, it appears Moore has better footwork off the line, looked was faster and a better route runner.   Baldwin has size and strength on his size (but those don't create separation).  Not crazy about Moore's small'ish size but he could be a decent play this year.  I'm considering keeping him as WR insurance.

So yesterday Rotoworld writers told us to keep an eye on Moore. Well today we also need to keep an eye on Patton:

Quote

"He's a great player," said Kaepernick, who completed seven of 13 attempts for 72 yards and a touchdown. "He is someone who just knows football. He knows how to get open. He knows how to make plays. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do for us."
Patton finished with a game-high four receptions for 35 yards. He did not play in the first two exhibition games and missed the opening three weeks of camp with a fracture of his left index finger.

"There's nothing more interesting than your own rotisserie team and nothing less interesting than someone else's." - Daniel Okrent

"If you challenge the conventional wisdom, you will find ways to do things much better than they are currently done." - Bill James

Which is the debate now, who's the potential add/sleeper?

Oh god, Kaepernick calls EVERYONE a great player. Listen to his interviews, he says great like every other sentence. Don't read anything into this, he called Chad Hall and Ricardo Lockette great players too. He's obviously been very well schooled by Harbaugh on how to interact with the media lol.

this times a million.

Id keep an eye out for the WR situation though, things can get interesting soon. I liked how baldwin looked as well.
