I love Wagner this year as well. One of my other sleepers is Woodyard. With Von Miller sidelined it is going to open up even more opportunity for Woodyard in the first half of the season.I think even more weight will rest on Woodyard. Could see him get off to a really fast start.

My league is tackle heavy and all the top choices are gone. Who are some LBs that will have high tackle totals besides the top guys. R Allen, Kiko, Bruce Carter? How about Roach and Dansby? I'm pretty much trying to select 3 of the 5

Carter is a good bet as he will be decent for the first part of the season, and then when Sean Lee inevitably gets hurt, he will vault into a solid LB2/3.

I read that the Tampa 2 is designed to funnel ball carriers to his position.

Daryl Smith will be a tackling machine. Pick him up now because he will be on prime time Thursday am everybody in idp leagues will be looking at him.

In any traditional style IDP scoring, Watt is the far and away number 1 IDP player, the advantage he give you at the DE/DL slot over the other guys is huge, its the Jimmy Graham effect. Unless you start just 1 or 2 IDP flex with tackle heavy scoring, Watt should go many rounds before Kuechly, Wagner, Johnson, etc

My league is two IDP, regardless of position, therefore that is why my guys are ranked how they are. I have Wagner and Kuechly projected around 155 points, whereas Watt is around 150. You are right, if youa re in a league that forces you to start a DL, then Watt is head and shoulders above everyone else. The 2nd ranked DL, Cameron Wake, I have projected at 109 points.

We start two DL (DE or LB), two DB (S or CB) and one flex player. Agree that Watt is a stud if you are forced to start a down lineman. Most IDP leagues don't go that deep though. Most are DL and DB or just flex defensive players.

How is LB considered a DL? Linebackers are not on the defensive line, never seen it like that very strange.

League with 2DL, 2LB, @DB and agree on the Watt effect. Watt should be reached for arguably before a tight end if you missed/passed on Jimmy Graham (he's basically two DL slots himself), then Kuechly a slight reach-for kinda guy. Otherwise nobody else jumps off the sheet to the degree that Watt does.

For DBs I grabbed Hayward as a darkhorse to partially fill the Woodson role, along with morgan burnett who was fine before but will be even more vital to that defense this year.

Guys I'm keeping an eye on but not rostering just yet are Colin McCarthy (lost his starting job to injury in pre-season but all signs point to him being a force sooner rather than later) and Alec Ogletree (all over the field for the Rams).
Kenny Vaccaro (NO safety) plays with a lot of grit and determination. I like what I saw from him in a recent Saints pre-season game.
