Hey ya'll ,

This is my first year playing fantasy football and I've started off with a couple of L's, I've been trying to make some adjustments but cant seem to get pinpoint who I should add or pick up for my team.

Sorry, I accidently submitted my post without adding any information lol

I play in a standard league (8 people and no ppr)

My team is as follows:

QB : colin kaepernick and cam newton

RB: lesean mccoy , cj spiller and darren sproles

WR : roddy white , AJ green,  danny amendola , kenny stills , marlon brown , julien adelman

TE : jared cook and kyle rudolph

Defense: 49ers

Kicker : josh brown

Some Top players avaliabe, for each position ( based on fantasy points so far) :

QB :  Phillip rivers , sam bradford , eli manning , matt schaub , alex smith , jay cutler

WR: Eddie Royal, deandre hopkins, leonard hankerson, robert woods, santana moss

RB: Knowshon Moreno, joique bell , james starks, fred jackson, ben tate, bernard price

TE: martellus bennett, jordon cameron, charles clay, brent celek

With injuries to roddy and amendola, I've been experimenting with some wide recievers and can say I EPIC failed this past week with kenny stills getting me a grand total of 1 point haha!

Jared cook also was very dissapointing after I picked him up from waivers last week after this strong performance he also rewarded me 1 point but I still am not thinking about dropping him but after Martellus Bennett's breakout performance I would like to go for him, Thoughts on this?

Would greatly appreciate any advice :)

I would not stress too much.   Your McCoy/Spiller combo can win some weeks for you.   Spiller looked lost game 1, but looked much better game 2.   I expect him to keep looking good, with a huge game any week.

You do have some trouble with injuries at WR.   I like Hopkins on the waiver wire and would do my best to get him.   I'm dropping Kenny Stills to make that happen.   Stills looks like a home-run hitter who will strike out a bunch.   You can drop him and see him have a good week, but don't stress, I think more bad weeks like this one will be more regular.   Just too low in the pecking order on the Saints.

Your QB's are solid.

Your TE's are solid, but if Cameron is on waivers I'm dropping Rudolph for him.   Rudolph is a good TE, but Cameron looks to be a difference maker.  If I get Cameron off waivers, I am starting him.

There are some solid RB plays on waivers there too.
Pierce could be a great pick-up IF Ray Rice is hurt (and a good pick-up if he's not).
Tate is forcing the Texans staff to play him more.
Moreno just had a great weekend, and on that offense, could put up some fantasy points.

You obviously can't own them all, but I would not feel bad dropping Marlon Brown for any of them.   I think Moreno is the safest bet, unless Rice is out, then Pierce is your best bet, even against a tough Texans defense. Tate might be the best over the year, IF he can force his way into the line-up or Foster gets hurt.   Chances are though, you are not playing any of them this weekend (already have solid RB's), but adding the depth at RB never hurts.

Hope that helps.   Good luck.

There's no reason to worry just yet...I started out 0-3 last year and ended up in the championship game. You have a great looking team, even for an 8 team league. Spiller has started slow, but he's a top 5 rb...so just be patient. I'd look into sellin Newton after he explodes for a big game, hopefully next week. I think he's gonna be inconsistent all year. The jury's still out for CP as well.

As for the WW's, I'd def grab Moreno, Royal, Hopkins, Tate (if foster goes down you've got a top 5 rb).

Drop Randolph and Stills.

Also, you might be able to buy low on some guys that could eventually win you the league...look at trading for Brees/T. Richardson
Record: 9-2 (12 Team non-ppr; 8th pick overall, 6pt passing td/-3 int)

QB: Romo (9th Rd)

RB1 Charles (1st Rd)
RB2: **M. Lynch
FLEX: *Gio Bernard (T)

WR1: Dez (2nd)
WR2: K. Allen (W)

*TE J. Thomas (T)

Def: Seahawks
K: A. Vinatieri
Bench: *SJax, A. Dobson, Sproles, P. Harvin, N. Foles, J. Cook

*Trade 0ct 2nd: DMC/Wilson/Roddy for Gio/Sjax/J. Thomas
** Traded Nov 8th: Jordy/Gonzo/Jeffery/M. James for Lynch/J. Cook/Seahawks D
(Gonzo/Jeffery/James were all bench players)

Thanks a lot for the help guys, I have managed to pick up jordan cameron and moreno and would most likely start them this week.

Just a quick question for week 3, who would you trust more colin kaepernick coming off a huge loss going against the colts Or cam newton facing the giants who have allowed over 25 fantasy points to both qb's they faced so far?

Your team is very solid. Drop Rudolph and Still as mentioned and grab Moreno and either Jordan Cameron or Hopkins. To maximize your scoring potential, grab Dan Bailey or Garrett Hartley. I know they're kickers and they'r usually a dime a dozen, but guys who kick in domes on higher scoring offenses more often than not out perform guys who kick outdoors in the Northeast. Every team is loaded in 8 man leagues so maximizing your scoring potential at every opportunity matters.
