I cant believe that a 2013 Season Outlook thread wasn't started for this guy....Actually, I can believe it. With bye weeks upon us, even Kerley can have some value especially when you consider Holmes missing a few weeks and Hill likely out due to concussion. While I'm not a fan of Geno Smith, Kerly will in all likelihood be the #1 WR for the Jets in a game where they will have to air it out on Monday Night. Also, when you consider the fact that the Falcons secondary has struggled (given up the 4th most points to WR), Kerly, yes that guy, could be an intriguing option as at least a WR3 this week.

You think he is a good potential for RZ looks?

Jets will be in catch up mode all game. 5-7 catches, 65-80 yds seem like a good bet. 50/50 for a TD

RB - McCoy, Gray (Oliver, Herron, RIP:Bradshaw)

WR - Nelson, Benjamin, Wallace (Michael Floyd)

I rolled the dice in a similar situation last week with Avant vs DEN and it didn't quite work out as I had hoped. With that said, Kerley is shaping up as a nice PPR play this week.

I also added him in both of my leagues, I am counting on garbage time stats.

Holmes will be out for few weeks, Hill's concussion might keep him out for 1 week, either way he will take a starting WR spot and Jets will be in catch up mode quite a bit. Low risk if u need a WR for bye week fill-ins.

I agree that he has a decent shot in PPR leagues, in standard he's a pure desperation play. With Atlanta going up early it will give ATL D and advantage knowing they will throw it. Underneath catches and a 20+ yard catch or two give him moderate viability in PPR leagues.

I think he is a solid bet for at least 10pts in a +1ppr and +1 per 10yard leagues.

5 catches 65 yards is solid for a bye week fill in flex play.

This is why PPR is so cool. It gives owners who are in a bind these other options who wouldn't be too sort after in standard leagues. 6 catches for 70 yards (13pts in 1pt PPR leagues)is more than reasonable for a #1 receiver from the slot and someone who has already played well in limited snaps thus far and in an offense that he has been in for a while. I think Kerly may be the best pickup this week, especially since you wont have to burn a waiver pick on him.

Kerly is a bad WR on a bad team & will likely only have value in PPR, where crappy players get artificially inflated value for catching a few check downs. Awesome.

Santonio Holmes and Stephen Hill are both expected to be out this weekend against Atlanta, leaving Kerley and Clyde Gates (wat) as the starting WR for the Jets, most likely. Just noticed David Nelson is behind them though... start up the hype train!

Joking aside, have to think the J-E-T-S could get behind quickly against this Atlanta offense and Geno may need to air it out a bit. Not sure who the heck else he's going to go to outside of Winslow.

Considering adding Kerley for a one week play. Any thoughts, or are the Jets WRs hands-off this week?

This is a guy that you put into your flex spot and you don't watch the game. Haha. I wouldn't be surprised if he does nothing for three quarters, then gets those all import Cecil Shorts poi...I mean, garbage time points.

Honestly, Kerley is making me think that those of us using him will be in one of two categories next week and only these two categores: 1) We will be visiting the Cool Story Bro thread after Kerley goes nuts or 2) we will be visiting the Vent/Rant thread because we were dumb enough to trust a Jets WR on Monday Night.

Not sure what you mean by "inflated value." Kerley has roughly the same value in standard as he does PPR. If he finishes with 13 pts this week in PPR, that would put him at around the 30th best WR (on the border of WR3/4). Just because you feel like his value is inflated doesn't mean he is. All the other WRs get points for their catches too.

I see where you are getting at and you are both right and wrong. Lets say his projection is 7 catches for 60 yds which is quite fair. Lets' forget the possibility of a TD. That's 13 pts in most PPR leagues. 13 pts in PPR league for a WR3 or flex isn't too shabby. If someone said there's a 90% chance he would produce those #'s in a PPR league, a lot of owners would feel comfortable with that. Now, if his upside is just 6pts in a standard league, owners would probably look elsewhere. If he doesnt get a TD in standard leagues, he is worthless whereas if he gets 9 rec for 9 yds, that's awesome with or without a TD. A slot guy like Kerly, you don't have to bank for a TD in PPR like you would in standard. I think you are comparing player for player in standard/ppr format as opposed to the value of the individual play in the type of format. Targets and receptions make his upside greater in PPR. Sounds confusing...lol
