Likewise. I really want him this year in a league where we keep 1 player next year. I'm wondering how early I have to take him. At 3b I have him between Pablo and Alvarez and at SS I have him after Evereth Cabrera and before Zobrist. Is that too early or too late? Hopefully the porridge is just right.

His ADP is 174 right now and I've been consistently getting him around the 13th round in 10 team mocks.  3B/SS eligibility is pretty significant as is his upside.

I'll be targeting him in the 12/13th round then.

This guy has the potential THIS season to put up this type of line:

.290/20-25/80

At the shortstop position?  With his future ahead of him?  In a keeper league?

One week till our keepers are due I'm actively attempting to get him in a trade right now.  That's how high I am on this kid this season and in the future.

I just kept him for $2 in my points league.  Please fantasy gods, let it be the right move!  The rankings I'm looking at have Bogaerts all the way down in the 4th tier of SSs, with Peralta, Drew, Aybar, Ramirez, etc. all in front of him.  Is that only because he's a rookie? Doesn't make much sense to me, but I'm always a sucker for "upside."

Precisely because he is an unknown.  It's hilarious that some think he'll hit along the lines of Peralta, Drew, Aybar etc.  The kid is ridiculously talented.

He's got an opportunity at a fantasy scarce position
He's playing on a very good team
In a very good ballpark
In a very good lineup

Are you seriously asking if paying $2 for Bogaerts was a bad move?!?  Come on.  This guy, barring injuries, will be a serious contender for AL Rookie of the Year.

He was taken in a new dynasty I joined this year in round 3.  Anyone in a dynasty or keeper that has him is golden.

Shocked at how affordable Bogaerts still is this spring. As yoda pointed out above, 3B/SS eligibility is pretty huge for his value. He could be a top 12 option at either position, and he's an ideal MI and a decent CI.

He could have a Machado like impact, but he's SS/MI eligible... I have no idea what people are sleeping on. In keeper leagues...forget about it. Future first round pick right here.

Big kid with premiere skills. May be a year too soon to rely on him in fantasy.

Interesting that someone with a Manny Machado image would raise such questions as I think he's a pretty good comparison to Xander's upside for this year.

Just put the video of the HR he hit earlier this spring on a continuous loop and if that bat speed and power doesn't impress you, I don't know what will.

Well he's only K'd 6 times to go along with 6 walks so that's a positive.

He has 2 2B and 1 HR and only 1 single.  Could just be some bad luck on the BABIP as 1 single in 28 official ABs where he put the ball in play 22 times is almost unheard of.

The only spring training thing I watch is if Stephen Drew is re-signed or not. He's not, Xander's in, so I'm excited to see what he has in store. ST means next to nothing. Look for positional battles, ignore stats from guys with jobs.

I draft for talent and opportunity. Bogaerts has unreal talent, and a great situation.

The talent is undeniable, so the biggest issue is his youth/inexperience. But when has that stopped elite talents from being productive?
It didn't stop other young players of similar ilk. Guys like A-Rod, Jeter, Machado, and Nomar all had very nice first full seasons. I expect Bogaerts to do the same.

Just drafted him in a dynasty. I hope he is on those guys level and starts off elite. He has the bat speed and plate discipline so we'll see.
