Marvin Jones is having a solid season in his Sophomore year.

31.7 yards a game and only 2 TDs doesn't sound super sexy. But Marvin has been very productive over his last 3 weeks despite limited targets.

Last 3 weeks he is averaging 49.33 yards a game along with 0.67 TDs. Despite only 3.67 targets a game (11 total). The most encouraging thing about this is Marvin Jones saw a season high in targets and receiving yards last week with 71 yards on only 5 targets.

If he over takes Sanu, which let's face it is looking likely to happen in Cinci he could be a nice WR3 with good upside.

Mediocre player that sees less than 4 targets a game with a bad QB throwing him the ball. Sign me up?

I think he's a good sleeper play this week. Detroit has been giving it up to #2 WR all season long while typically limiting the #1. I can't decide if it's going to be Sanu or Jones but either one of these guys could be a super-sneaky play.

I don't know how you consider Dalton a bad QB. He's at the very least an average QB. Wouldn't be surprised if Dalton goes off if Marvin Jones over takes Sanu and Dalton has an actual #2 guy.

Obviously I was highlighting how efficent Marvin Jones has been. If he sees an increase in targets he could prove to be a better play than a lot of WR3's who are currently in the 50 - 60 yards a game category.

Marvin Jones has averaged 13.5 yards a target the last 3 games. He also had a 34 yard run against Buffalo.

I think we see a drastic increase in targets for this guy.

I like this kid. I think he will take over at WR2. A lot of people under rate his talent, but I think he is a playmaker and his upside is worth stashing in 12+ team leagues. He had 3/71/1 and a 34 yard rush on only 26 snaps. 19 points in PPR. I think anyone who plays in deeper leagues should grab him now. If he goes off this week, he'll be one of the top waiver claims next week.

Yeah anyone scrounging for a WR3, this guy has legit upside. If he gets more targets / touches he could surpass some house hold names like Marques Colston (owned in 95% of leagues), Steve Smith (92%), Greg Jennings (83%).

57 yards and a TD on 6 targets.

Is he the slot guy or is he lining up outside in Sanu's spot?

I don't think Dalton has the skill to sustain another WR outside of Green. Obviously these past two weeks Jones has produced, but I don't think it will continue. Not because of Jones, but because of the QB.

I'd love to be proven wrong, however.

I see a lot of doubt on Dalton and a lot of love on Stafford on these forums. But if one thing show cased something yesterday it's what I've been saying for the past few weeks, Andy Dalton is as good if not better than Matthew Stafford.

The closest thing Dalton has ever had to a legit WR2 was a Jerome Simpson of two years ago who a rookie was already clearly better than.

Stafford has much better arm strength, but I agree I don't think he's that great. Both have shown thus far in their careers they cannot sustain a fantasy relevant WR2.

Stafford is a much better QB than Dalton. Stafford has a cannon and has improved his accuracy tremendously. We have seen he can still put up elite numbers even without Megatron

One thing that sticks out about Stafford is toughness and his ability to throw under pressure (side-armed usually) . This seperates the elites from the others. Don't forget that Dalton's stock was raised because A.J. Green came back to an under-thrown ball and broke away. All I am saying is in real-life, if I am choosing a superbowl quarterback, I would much rather have Stafford than Dalton.

One thing that I like about Jones is that Cincinatti seems to be trying to get him the ball. They gave him a run play week 6 and his targets haven't seen a huge bump but he is getting more action. He is worth the roster spot in really deep leagues like mine but not starting reciever spot worthy yet.

I just dropped Woods for him to be my flex in a 14-team keepers league, for what it's worth. The Jets D is pretty tough, but he seems to be getting more and more attention. Plus he gives Dalton a second option when Green is getting double covered (even though that seems to rarely matter). Long term, I don't know what to make of him, but as a bye week fill-in for a league of my size, he has appeal.

Snap counts still have sanu in 2x more snaps than jones. But it seems like jones is the better playmaker. Will jones over take sanu in 2wr sets?
