Dude's best month is Sept. Hopefully he continues that trend this season.

Sitting after a rare good game. Makes sense
Some managers really irritate me
I back the realest and original Polanco :-)

Facing a lefty. He's been awful against lefties this year. I had him on my bench anyway.

I have him on my bench nearly every game but Calhoun also facing a lefty. Oh well, at least he did something in our lineups last night

Shin-Soo Choo will have season-ending surgery to remove a bone spur from his left elbow.

Choo has dealt with the bone spur since spring training and the issue has apparently gotten worse recently. He could have the procedure as soon as Friday if he can get over a cold in the next few days. Choo has also been nagged by an ankle injury for most of the season, which has no doubt contributed to a disappointing .242/.340/.374 batting line. He still has six years and $116 million remaining on his contract.

That's GREAT news!!!

Now I can dump him without the fear that someone will scoop him and he goes crazy.

What a fitting end to an extremely disappointing season. Career lows in almost every single hitting category.

More dead weight on my team that I can't drop...

Baseball and football are very different games. In a way, both of them are easy. Football is easy if you're crazy as hell. Baseball is easy if you've got patience. They'd both be easier for me if I were a little more crazy and a little more patient. ~ Bo Jackson

Does Daniel Robertson replace him in the leadoff spot or does Choice cut into some playing time?

You can say that again. What a colossal disappointment.

For dynasty leagues such as mine this was actually a blessing in disguise. He surely would've been shut down in September with his ankle problem and since rosters would've expanded he would not have been DL-eligible. This was actually good timing.

Not to mention (and this one applies to redrafts as well) we can finally take him out of our starting lineups without remorse. He was an unfortunate draft pick that buried a lot of teams but considering the sunk cost, this DL trip was welcome news
