I couldn't find a season thread for McCown, and given that many people were looking to use Cutler through fantasy playoffs (especially the popular Vick/Cutler pairing), I assume many people are searching elsewhere for QB help.

For those that watch the Bears, how does McCown look?

Where do people have McCown generally ranked for the next few weeks?

Trestman offense is very QB friendly and with BIG targets in Marshall, Jeffery, and Bennett along with Forte in the backfield. I see Mccown as a solid QB2 in 2 QB leagues and a matchup/bye week QB1 that can be serviceable

This is what I'm hoping too. I imagine other waiver darlings like Foles, Pryor, and Keenum have long-since been scooped up.
In competitive 12-team leagues, I'll bet there are few options on the waiver at this point outside of Tannehill, Ponder, etc. And of those, McCown seems to by far have the most upside in my mind.

Agreed. He's been very solid in his last few outings, and I'd expect him to keep it up.

i would not play him this week against baltimore though…the perfect scenario would be week 13 vs minnesota. Week 12 @ St. Louis is a tough matchup too with their pass rushers and cornerbacks.

If it were Cutler I'd not be worried about the matchups but with McClown in the lineup I just don't see him as more than a top 15-20.

Many people are scrounging for QB help after names like Cutler, Vick, Rodgers, Locker, and possibly Manning, Pryor going down to injury.

At least in my 12 team leagues, there are actually very few viable QB trade targets available either, leaving waiver as the easiest and possibly one of the only readily viable options to band-aid at QB.
If McCown can give me top 15 QB production, I'll take it. Even a 250/2 TD/2 INT stat line every week will suffice.

I think he's a terrific stash in 2-QB leagues if he was dropped after it was announced that Cutler was back. With Trestman's system in place and all of those weapons, he should be good for 200+ yards and 2 TDs most weeks, and Cutler could be out another 2-3 weeks.

I think Cutler is bound to be out for several weeks with a high ankle sprain.

It might be tough to play McCown this week against Baltimore though...

If there is any lightning mixed in with the thunder they will suspend play for a while and get the game rolling once the storms blow over. You may remember the season opener in Denver was suspended for about an hour (maybe longer?) because of "severe thunderstorms" in the Denver area, but on TV it didn't look stormy at Mile High at all. I checked the hourly reports a minute ago and it looks like the worst of it will be tomorrow morning and early afternoon. By 3:00 or 4:00 there could be considerable clearing.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather but as of now I'm not removing any of my Bears or Ravens (Torrey Smith) from my lineups.

Any making a move with the winds in Chicago today?  I got him or Matt Ryan and without the wind, it was a no brained.  Torn on what to do with him today.

i am thinking of switching to Glennon in TB over McCown. The weather just scares me up there.

The STL matchup looks tough on paper but I think Trestman's system is perfect for negating great pass-rushers since it stresses getting rid of the ball quickly. Also, Forte is a huge weapon on screens and checkdowns, so look for McCown to target him plenty to negate Quinn and Long off the edges.

Starting him this week with confidence as Russell Wilson is on bye. Rams D gives up a high completion percentage to quarterbacks. Lots of screen plays I forsee for the Bears to offset the pass rush of the Rams. 20/28 for 220 yards, 2 TD's. Probably throw in a fumble lost.
