I like how he's considered unathletic when his measurables compare favorably to Steven Jackson's prime.

He will be a top-10 RB, regardless of format.

His floor is 2012 TRich.

People somehow are thinking that a RB who will get 300+ carries, 30-40 receptions, and all the goal-line work with measurables superior to Steven Jackson and comparable to Eddie Lacy will get fewer than 1300 total yards and 10 total TDs.  Laughable.

Assuming health TG will be a top 15 RB I'm quite sure of it (i.e. a premium RB2). I think his upside is Le'Veon's rookie season: 1200+ yards rushing/receiving + 8TDs. I think he can do better than this but I'm baking the Jags' offensive uncertainty into that projection. I think he will be a rock solid flex at the least with the potential to be a top 10 back.

I'm not going to get greedy and hope for a top 10 performance, though a 6-10 RB finish for Gerhart is a logical ceiling. I think top 20 should be his absolute floor and top 15 likely.
I'd be higher on Gerhart (and I'm sure so would everyone else I drafted with) if he wasn't playing for the Jags.

I think the 'LeVeon Bell' prediction is right on: ~1200 total yards, 8 TDs approximation.

Week one against Philly... Hoping the Jags don't fall too far behind and abandon the run game.

The Jags D is underrated.  Philly will see more safety blitzes in wk 1 than they saw all of last year.  None of their receivers are worthy of extra defensive attention.

But even if the Jags fall behind, Gerhart is an excellent passcatcher and blocker, so he still won't be coming off the field.  Another reason he'll be a top-10 RB this year.

Top 10?  Man you guys have fallen off your wagons.  I'm sure every top 10 prognosticator is also an owner...  Do you guys forget his o-line is terrible?  Forget his QB play will be terrible?  Forget their weapons on the edge aren't guys who will take pressure off the running game?  Forget Gerhart is a mediocre talent?

Can't deny the opportunity though... Sometimes that's all it takes. I agree with you though that he's being a little too hyped up right now

If Fred Jackson can be top ten last year with roughly 250 touches, I don't see why Gerhart can't.

MJD was the #20 RB last year with a pretty uninspired showing. Assuming health, that's Gerhart's floor. But I'd be shocked if he ends up in the top 10. He might get the touches, but I just don't see the TD opportunities that you need to get into that Top 10 range. Maybe Bortles comes in and sparks the passing game or something, but again, I'd be shocked.

Top 10 is crazy, but I didn't draft him for that. Id take top 15-18 and be thrilled.

I'm high on Gerhart this year but I think expecting top 10 is unrealistic. Could he? He could. Crazier things have happened. But I don't think anyone should draft him with that expectation. I drafted him with the expectation that he'd be a solid RB 2. Posting slightly better than MJD numbers from last year. I'd be more than happy if he finished in the top 15 range.
