Currently own both Marshall, and Chalmers, and both have games tonite. One of the owners on the other side of the playoff bracket dropped Rondo 2 days ago, and he'll clear waivers after tonite's games are over.

I have top waiver priority. The rest of my team is rock solid, so I can only keep 2 out of the 3. Whomever I drop to pickup Rondo is more than likely going to get snatched right away by one of the other owners. I'm having a hard time deciding because even though Rondo is clearly the superior player, the possibility of a DNP really scares me, since I'm in a very tight fight, and I can't afford to have goose eggs out of a roster slot.

With Farmar out, is very possible that Marshall returns to consistently producing double digit assists games again. Chalmers may not get as many assists as Marshall, but he gets more steals, and is a bit more stable with his FG%, and TO's.

Looking for opinions on who to drop for Rondo, or whether I should stay put, and leave Rondo's DNP risk on the wire.

I would keep Chalmers and Marshall. They'll give you way more games. Rondo is already sitting back 2 backs. Crazy idea but is jack or waiters available? I was a rondo owner who had to drop as well. I figure let an opponent deal with that headache. IMO. Thanks for helping with mine!

Stay put. DNP's will kill you when you could rather have chalmers' steals production.

Rondo has back to backs on: 3/30 + 3/31, and 4/4 + 4/5, and 4/11 + 4/12.  So expect him to miss 3 more games.  What is your comfort level with him missing 3 games?  I really like Chalmers and Marshall ROS.  Marshall for obvious reasons, and Chalmers because he'll need to step up when the big 3 sits.

^^ Agreed. Ild grab Rondo and keep Marshall. If your forced to drop later for a game then do so then but Rondo is way to valuable.

I need help in assists and steals the most, but with Rondo missing at least 3 games I'm not sure he'll still come out ahead of Marshall and Chalmers.

I do. Rondos a walking double double with points and assist. Chalmers is simply not.

I would drop Chalmers here as well. Rondo is just too good.

If it's that close of a race and you need people playing, keep in mind that Chalmers plays Fri/Sat and Marshall plays Fri/Sun while Rondo only plays on Fri.  You'll get 2 games from the other 2 and Rondo could also get DNPs the rest of the way.  You'd also keep your waiver priority for the next big pick up if you didn't add.  Something to think about.

Definitely agree with this. Like I said I'd go with Rondo because when he plays he's much better than Chalmers, but it really does come down to games played. It's highly possible that if you would play Chalmers more times than Rondo, bearing in mind those missed games, it may be worth considering. To me this is about scheduling more than anything else, but I'd have a hard time passing up Rondo.

Yeah, this is the reason this is such a struggle for me. Normally it would be a no brainer to pick up Rondo, and not look back, but both Marshall and Chalmers are guaranteed to have more games played than Rondo, and its a very tight race in both assists and steals, and whomever wins those 2 cats is almost sure to win the week (we're 4-4-1 right now as on Wednesday night).

I'm leaning towards staying put, but man.....is tough to pass up on Rondo.

Thanks to all for the help!
