Where will he end up?

Can't believe he was in a street gang. This is the guy who won't run up the middle of a football field for fear of being hit. I really don't see him banging on a corner.

RW blurb....lulz.  Some of these guys are just so dumb.  DJax is well on his way to becoming a bankrupt statistic after the league is done with him....

The Newark Star-Ledger reports DeSean Jackson's off-field behavior, particularly his connection to a Los Angeles street gang, is the Eagles' chief concern and main reason they're entertaining trading or releasing him.
Jackson has a problem with missing team meetings, and the Eagles reportedly believe his friends are becoming a powerful, negative influence. The team is "concerned about having [Jackson] around the younger players. Jackson has become close with a man named Theron Shakir, a member of the Crips and one of two men charged in the murder of a 14-year-old rival gang member. The Eagles simply don't want to wake up to an Aaron Hernandez situation one morning. Jackson has very likely played his last down for the Eagles.

Wow, this escalated quickly.  This must have been a widely known piece of information making him untradeable?  Because it seems like they could have gotten something instead of having to just outright release him...

Some team will take a chance on him. If his gang wore rainbow jackets and gave each other reach arounds on the corner he'd be black-flagged, but someone will sign him.

Really wonder where he ends up. It is very telling that the Eagles just cut bait with him when he's in his prime, coming off a career year AND is a perfect fit for that system in that Chip Kelly offense

major, major red flags on this guy....but talent trumps all and you know somebody will take a chance(usually the teams who are run poorly)

Who said he is actually a crip? Being gang affiliated is completely different from being a member. Hes from LA, likely grew up in a crip neighborhood.

It's just the nature of his environment. He's not the only one either. Tons of ball players are gang affiliated, take Paul Pierce or Stephen Jackson for example.

Doesn't mean they're the next Aaron Hernandez.

The Eagles are running a smear campaign now that they couldn't get anything in a trade. You know how many guys in this league have grown up in gang infested neighborhoods? You have any idea how many of these guys have family or friends who gang members? Again it's the nature of their upbringing. Doesn't mean they're claiming anything themselves.

I was going to mention the same thing regarding where he grew up.  If you grow up in a bad area, or just hang around with some bad people when you are young it isnt uncommon to still know them in your 20's.

Regarding the smear campaign, i think it is also to justify the move to their fans.   It is pretty ugly, a bit like Freeman with the Bucs last year.

And guys from certain areas often throw up their local gang's sign during games. See it in the pros and college ranks all the time during celebrations.

This just in, being a successful athlete doesn't change where you came from or who your day 1 people were. Judge him and those like him, but at days end the fact of the matter is where he is from his support system included gang members.

What a numbnuts. He was in the perfect offense for him.

I bet he reunites with Vick in NY, him and Decker would be a very good 1-2 punch.

Would Belichick be willing to deal with his baggage?

He got Randy Moss to play nice.

DJax just didn't want to put his career at risk...

...by being on the same team as Mark Sanchez.

------

In all honesty, I think if the Rams were forward-thinkers, they'd see what Chip Kelly managed to do with DJax, sign him, and put Tavon and DJax on the field simultaneously.

Doubt the Pats take the chance after the whole Hernandez debacle.

Make no mistake, this is a smear campaign. While teams like the Pats would normally be salivating to sign this type of talent, the sensationalized negative press he's getting would seriously damage PR.

Once you're shown in this light, the general public has shown to view these guys as subhuman thugs, I mean we all see the ugly commentary on Yahoo and ESPN.

It's gonna be a team that doesn't have a history of signing "unsavory" individuals.
